Research Of The Use Of Plant’s Totem Image In Design And Decoration

The global culture convergence originated from the process of the industrialization has accelerate the integration of diversified cultures as acknowleged, it has, however, broken the succesive inheritance of different cultures of which the regionality, nationality and diversity should be cherrished. The so called "traditional culture", as though, is disappearing around the world. It is a hot topic among the academic area of culture study that how to preserve the "traditional culture", this paper, as expected, offered a collection of traditional plant chinese totems which present the plants totem culture originated from chinese culture and could be essential for landscape design.This paper was organized with seven parts, basicaly. The first part of it offered the research aim and method; Then it stated that the global plant culture should be regarded as the clue of the human civilization; An analysis of mental phenomena of plant culture was offers in the third part of this paper. As the essence of this paper, the fourth and fifth part of it stated the application of the plants totem symbol in the landscape desigh.Sixth, the significance of the plant culture study in the academic area was underlined. Finally, describes the use of the argument in graduation design.
