A200m2whole solar house for10people live in the northwest remote region is designed. The house is powered by solar photovoltaic energy system and fueled by biogas. Phase change material packaged in the wall and floor is used to control the temperature of the house. A seasonal energy storage system can store the solar energy in summer and provide heating in winter by using a water tank with plastic packaging phase change material.First of all, it designed the structure of the solar house. The PP-R tube Compounds in the building envelope, and it packages mirabilite as phase change materials for the heat storage. The wall can package mirabilite2160kg, and store heat about520MJ;The heat storage floor can package mirabilite2330kg, and store heat about560MJ.The tank’s radius of the solar cross season heat storage is3.0meters,and high is1.2meters. The phase change material for heat storage tank selects the NH4Al(SO4)2·12H2O.The tank can package phase change material10.4tons, and store heat2800MJ.Secondly, it designs the cylindrical hydraulic biogas pool to provide fuel for the resident’s cooking,the8m3. Using a photovoltaic array as the solar photovoltaic generation system, the output voltage is259.2V, the current is27.5A, the total capacity is6000W, and the paved size is38m2. The capacity of the alkaline nickel-cadmium batteries is3000Ah, the inverter’s input voltage is180~300V, and rated current is37.9A.All of those are matched with the photovoltaic array.Finally, for the whole solar house combined with the building’s energy-saving design, it analysed the building energy consumption about the thermal load both domestic hot water and heating.lt shows that the heat consumption of the unit building area per unit time is17.8W/m2.The thermal calculation present the key design parameters, and it shows that the additional cost of the solar project is about RMB210,000and it will pay for itself within10years.
