For electric light source,"Green lighting" has been a new symbol of the lighting industry. The electrodeless fluorescent lamp is a new-type light source which has been developing in recent years. It is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, which has no filament and electrode and with high light efficiency, long lifespan, high color rendering and so on. It has been applied in roads, tunnels, bridges, stadiums, exhibition venues ect. High luminous efficiency not only means more energy-saving, but also means that the stability will be improved. This topic analyzes and researches influencing factors about the luminous efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamp in this context. Methods to improve the luminous efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamp through doing research on relationship between lamp’s temperature and the luminous efficiency are studied.The electrodeless fluorescent lamp is through the coupler to get the electromagnetic field of high frequency generator coupling into the lamp with induction method, making the gas inside the avalanche ionization and generating the plasma that causes a phosphor coating on the the bulb to fluoresce in order to produce visible light. The main work is conducted as follows:1) Make analysis of the impact temperature to the stability of the coupler to determine the performance of the coupler relative balance in the range of10℃to125℃. For experiment convenience, use Matlab realization of electromagnetic field simulation to save many orthogonal experiments because of different parameters.2) Build measurement device of luminous efficiency to determine the optimal detection distance and the best detection aperture size by experiments, and calibration of the luminous efficiency measurement device. To determine the temperature measurement system and collect the temperature value of lamp in different locations.3) Determine the best measurement solutions of temperature and the luminous efficiency by designing experiments.Finally, how the lamp’s temperature influences the luminous efficiency is determined through the analysis of the experimental data. The experimental analysis on the temperature range of the magnetic coupler is combined to conclude that the temperature range at100℃-125℃will get the highest luminous efficiency.
