The electrodeless fluorescent lamp was a new-type light source which has been developing in recent years. It has many advantages, such as longevity, high luminous efficiency, no stroboscopic phenomenon, high CRI, wide colour temperature, and so on. It has been widely applied in road lighting, tunnel lighting, square lighting, mining industry lighting, factory building lighting and classroom lighting ect. Electrodeless fluorescent lamp is not perfect though it has many advantages; the luminous efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamp is a problem which many light source engineers care about all the time. If the luminous efficiency is high, it does not only mean more energy-saving, but also mean that the stability will be improved. At the beginning of this context, analysis and research of influence factors about the luminous efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamp was made. Methods was tried to be found to improve the luminous efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamp through research on characteristics of its power supply.Research was done on the efficiency of energy transition of the electrodeless fluorescent lamp’s power supply, and the Q value of its power supply was drawn forth, which reflected the characteristics of energy consumption. On the basis of general model of electrodeless fluorescent lamp, combining the circuit of actual product, he equivalent circuit model was built and verified. Referred to measurement method of the simple LRC circuit Q value, a suitable measurement precept for the real product circuit of this topic was designed, the Q value measurement experiment and the relative luminous efficiency experiment was made, the experiment results was analyzed and concluded:1) The energy consumption characteristics of electrodeless fluorescent lamp has an influence on the energy transfer efficiency of power supply, reducing consumption can increase luminous efficiency.2) The influencing factors on Q value of power supply include the capacitance,inductance,resistance, distribution parameters and the temperature of the resonance matching circuit, the influence of circuit parameters on electrodeless fluorescent lamp power Q value are on the same level.3) Through the main exothermic device ferrite temperature characteristic experiment, it was found that circuit Q value will decline with temperature rise, the calorification of the power coupler ferrite core played a more important role.4) Through the theoretical analysis, the best circuit matching conditions of lighting was found, and it was analyzed that there might be a extremum relationship between the power Q value and the luminous efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamp.5) Through the power Q value and the relative luminous efficiency experiment, the extremum relationship conjecture was verified. And it’s analyzed that bigger Q value was not better. On the circuit parameters matching conditions of the best luminous that luminous efficiency would increase with the Q value increased.Exploration and verification test of the actual circuit model of electrodeless fluorescent lamp was completed. Through continuous theory analysis and experiment, a measurement method of Q value of power supply circuit was designed out accord with the circuit of the electrodeless fluorescent lamp in this topic. On the basis of the basic photometric measurement theory, combined with the luminescence properties of actual electrodeless fluorescent lamp, the equivalent luminous flux measurement method of the lamp was designed, and the actual measurement experiment of this precept was made. The results show that the method was feasible, and the measurement error was small. Experiment was made to explore the relationship between the power Q value and the relative luminous efficiency, a high a luminous efficiency could be obtained when the Q value was near14.1. Finally the circuit Q value optimization theory analysis was completed, and a idea of practical circuit parameters optimization method was proposed.
