Rudder and fin joint control is a kind of combination control method which takes coupling property between ship yawing and rolling into account adequately. It can overcome weakness of rudders and fins and can also improve roll stabilization effect while keeping course accuracy simultaneously to ensure marine transportation safety. At present, the equipping rate of state-owned ship equipments in our country is lower compared with some other countries. It is the needs of shipping industry of our country to develop ship autopilots with integrity, automation, intelligent and independent intellectual property rights. And it can also improve the level of ship automation, guarantee marine transportation safety and drive the development of marine economy.The thesis made some further designs and improvements to the original system on base of the prototype research.Firstly, the author studied the prototype system deeply and the thesis continued to use the original mathematical model and closed-loop gain shaping algorithm; secondly, in the respect of system improvement, the thesis designed different kinds of methods to improve the display problem of the original interface and debugged the original program to improve it on the function aspect; thirdly, in respect of interfacial design and information display, the thesis learned from schematic diagram interface design concept to design the system interface, and integrated the schematic diagram interface into the prototype system to enhance its practicality; finally, the thesis studied NMEA0183data protocols,analyzed the format of ship data, and completed the analyzing and smoothing of ship data to improve application of ship data in program testing and avoid shortcomings of simulation digital signals.The thesis used modular programming method to realize the design and relevant function in VC++environment. The author expects to make the prototype system higher reliability, stronger robustness and more complete in function.
