How to after fault occurred in distribution network, according to the faultinformation report timely and accurately determine fault zone, and takeeffective measures to isolate the fault area, the power supply as soon as possible to restore the fault section is to improve the management level of distribution network, the full realization of become an urgent task for distribution automation.Precise fault location technology, can help operators to quickly find the fault point, so that the power line fault after the rapid recovery. This paper is mainly used in low voltage distribution network fault location technology andgeographic information system (GIS) technology combined with the electric power enterprise’s practical working situation, research and development rapid accurate and timely display the distribution of equipment fault locationand area of influence, and by inference,measuring the running state of thedistribution network equipment parameters, and obtains a set of faultequipment accurate fault location of geographic information system.Based on the distribution network fault location method and the theory model and the distribution network topology analysis and summary, the faultequipment accurate fault location geographic information system based on expert repository model and Bias model. The main research contents are as follows:1) the various methods are compared and analyzed;2) topology of distribution network;3) the system spatial database design;4) component technology topology analysis, fault finding, correction and repair, networkmodel of distribution.Finally, according to the feedback system and the user, the systemapplication, and describes the prospect of the future development ofdistribution network management system.
