The stable operation of the power system needs close cooperation of manyequipments.In many equipments,reactor plays an important role.However,due tosome factors such as complexity of the power system operation condition andscurviness of reactor work envieronment,the reactor may be fault easily.So, theproblem of reactor protection is taken more and more seriously.This paperanalyze protection characteristics of the traditional reactor turn to turn shortcircuit, studied the problems and the insufficiency of it,and we put forward a newmethod. Compared the previous relay protection mode, this method is veryreliable for the protection of reactor turn to turn short circuit,and created a newmethod for microcomputer protection,has important research value and practicalsignificance.This paper mainly discussed the basic theory for the microcomputerprotection of series reactor turn-to-turn short circuit, and calculate the parameterswhen turn-to-turn short circuit occured with software the reactor related,verifiedthe feasibility of this method this paper uses for turn-to-turn short circuitmicrocomputer protection. Expound each module function and principle ofexperimental platform of microcomputer protection in detail.Combine withtheoretical analysis, revealed the inner laws and characteristics for themicrocomputer protection of turn-to-turn short circuit, including the circuitparameters of impact protection performance, the measurement precision andreliability.Secondly, analyse the structure for the microcomputer protection of turn toturn short circuit, verified the reliability of collection terminal and communication terminal.Finally,analyse the experimental structure of turn to turn short circuitmicrocomputer protection, include the specific parameters of acquisition circuitmodule, wireless transmission circuit module, wireless receiving circuit moduleand ethernet communication circuit module.Debug each circuit module,we builtexperiment platform for turn-to-turn short circuit of series reactor.The experiment realize monitor the reactor status of normal working andturn-to-turn short circuit successfully, and deliver two different status signals toepistatic machine through ethernet. And record the reactor parameters in differentstates include data and waveforms.Through the experiment, verify the feasibilityfor microcomputer protection of the series reactor turn-to-turn short circuit, laythe foundation for follow-up study.
