With the deepening of China’s electric power industry reform, gradually accelerated the pace of marketization of electric power. In recent years, the electric power production and management in the form of a gradual transition to the market competition pattern, the electric power production and operation of electric appeared some new problems. The tension of coal resources, for example, they are to save energy and reduce the key to domestic consumption. The installed power generating capacity of the current power industry developing rapidly, and the rapid growth of electricity, but coal prices are still high, the frequency of power generation enterprises in losses, enterprise production enthusiasm and efficiency are very low. Therefore, under this form, combining to the specific requirements of power generation enterprises,the pursuit of economic benefits, studied based on shuffled frog leaping algorithm in coal-fired power plant units economic dispatch problem.By reading the related literature, in the process of operation of unit load distribution in coal-fired power plant, first of all, this paper introduces a polynomial fitting method to fit unit energy consumption characteristic curves, the amount of coal consumption as objective function of research, established the mathematical model of unit economic combination, and combined with the actual operation situation, put in some constraints; In terms of algorithm, using dynamic programming, basic shuffled frog leaping algorithm and the improved shuffled frog leaping algorithm to solve unit commitment optimization problems; Finally compares the three algorithms, stability and reliability and complexity. The simulation experimental results show that the improved shuffled frog leaping algorithm obtained more ideal operation result, has better optimization performance. Show that the algorithm has good practical application and research significance.
