With the move toward an automobile age, the urban traffic congestion is getting more andmore severe in China. Ranging from single road congestion to the paralysis of the entire path, thewhole network resource allocation proves to be unreasonable. Thus, traffic distribution is of vitalimportance in the overall urban planning, which could help solve a number of problems, such ascongestion, environmental pollution, energy consumption as well as some reduction of people’sanxiety.According to the problem of congestion in single path while causing a low usage of other paths,this paper tries to put forward an urban main road stochastic traffic assignment model as well as itsallocation algorithm based on current model. This research is drawn from following respectives:First, build the link resistance time function. Other influence factors like road capacity, trafficdelays at intersections under traffic control and road congestion delays are added to current function.According to the current road traffic states and the previous moment’s traffic states in downstreamsections, link resistance time function is set up.Then, set up the urban regional trunk road stochastic traffic assignment model. Based on Logitstochastic assignment model, inducing obedience factors are introduced to improve the ratio of pathchoosing. According to different situations as regards to the involvement of induction theory, thismodel is established. In the case of no inducing information, Logit assignment model is adopted toanalyze the path choosing ratio while under the control of inducing information, path choosing ratiois calculated according to the improved link resistance time.Additionally, realize the assignment model algorithm in complete obedience to inducinginformation. This research is mainly on the calculation of assignment model algorithm in completeobedience to inducing information. Drivers choose optimal path following inducing informationcompletely. With improved STOCH algorithm, the calculation is employed to solve the constraintsof valid path, thus reducing the traffic load of individual segments, improving traffic flow to reachreasonable and balanced distribution.Last, model algorithm validity is empirically verified. First, simulate a micro road system anduse Matlab to conduct the simulation test. This model algorithm proves to be superior bycomparison in three ways. Moreover, combined with different parameters and moments, respectivedata of the road segments are drawn to justify the method put forward in this research. Finally, application in macro road system is completed so as to prove this research to be practical bycomparison.
