With the advancement of science and technology in recent years, and the development ofmarket economy after China’s accession to the WTO, logistics equipment plays anincreasingly important role in promoting China’s economic and social development. Forklifttruck is widely used as a commonly palletizing handling equipment in the logistics equipment. The modern logistics system has a high demands on space utilization rate, which theincreasingly high demands on cargo stacking height, and thus the high mast forks will have abroad application space in the future.Compared with ordinary forklift truck, high mast forklift truck has higher lifting height, which require a better overall stability of the forklift truck at the stage of stacking. Also, theforklift mast, a frequent work of mechanism, significantly affect the stability of truck with thefactors of its force distribution, stability and fatigue life. Therefore, the stress distribution offorklift truck wheel and channel steel are deeply studied in this paper. In view of the stressdistributed on the frame by forklift roller and channel steel, the Herz theory was introducedfor exploring in depth of the contact force between the roller and the steel. A logarithmicfunction curve for modifying the roller busbar is presented and then the parameter ofmodifying has been optimized with a comprehensive consideration of actual tooling error. Thecontact stress between the roller and the steel has been improved so as to reduce the stressdistribution of the frame, and therefore make a final improvement of the forklift stability. The main work of the paper is as follows:1. A new high mast forklift shape model has been established. With a full considerationon the basis of the design type of the existing forklift truck, the ideas of the coordination ofhuman-machine systems and the color design have been introduced to the new forklift andhave also been expressed on the CAD model of new high mast forklift with the use of theindustrial modeling software rhino2. Mechanics checking and numerical simulation of the forklift truck frame wereproceeded. After reviewing the specific literature of frame design, considering the complexityof the various models, a reasonable forklift mast mechanics model has been selected incombination with actual situation. By using the software of Ansys, a finite element analysiswas made for obtaining the diagram of the door frame stress and the displacement cloud, andchecked high mast’s strength and stiffness.3. A mast roller contact stress model have been established. By introducing the Hertz theory into the study of forklift roller door frame stress distribution, a mast roller contactstress model has been formulated, and the contact stress between the roller and the steel hasbeen analyzed.4. Forklift mast roller bus modification has been done. According to the actual situationof forklift truck wheel in contact with the channel, in order to avoid the presence of the "edgeeffect", compared to various wheel modification, modification was carried out on the wheelwith logarithmic function. And the wheel life factor as the optimization goal was taken tooptimize the wheel logarithmic function parameters and finally conclude the best modificationcurve5. Analyzing the current method of determining the stacking forklift load stability. Usingthe centroid method to study the stacking forklift load stability, and revising the forklift truckload stability function by completely considering the influenced factors of the deformation offorklift mast after loading, the fit clearance of the multiple mast’s prismatic pair, thedeformation due to the contact of the wheel with truck door frame channel steel and theeccentric load of the center of gravity of goods. And then finally figuring out the the designedhigh mast forklift load by respectively using the before and the after revision of the loadstability function.
