With the rapid development of modern space technology, Spatial mechanisms become more and more huge and complicacy. Many mechanisms are connected by hinge joints, Such as solar array, antenna array, etc. Clearance inevitably exists in various activities joint, and joint clearance is one of the key factors affecting the dynamical characteristics of spatial mechanisms. Study on dynamical behavior of mechanism with joints clearance has profound theory and application value.The analytical and experimental study on dynamical characteristics of a slider-crank mechanism with slider clearance will provide a solid basis for the research of mechanism with joint clearance. The contents are as followings:At first, the model of joint clearance is developed.The dynamics equation of mechanism with joint clearance is established based on the Lankarani-Nikravesh contact force model and the modified coulomb friction model.Further,considering the slider-crank mechanism with slider clearance,the dynamics equation of a slider-crank mechanism is tablished.Then,the dynamic behavior of machanism with joint clearance are studied on different clearance sizes and the input speed,the quantitative analysis indicators is proposed for kinematic accuracy of mechanism with clearance.The experimental study for dynamics of a slider-crank mechanism is carried out. The effects of different clearances and nput speed are studied systematically in the experiments. The reliability of theory analysis is verified by experiment.Finally, the wear of hinge joints with clearance is studied based on Archard wear model For the slider-crank mechanism with clearance presnted previously, the wear characteristics of hinge joints with clearance are analyzed by experiment.lt is indicated that the wear of clearance joint is a non-regular wear.
