With the development of economic and the advancement of architectural technol ogy, the building function is become more and more complex which brings the higher demands of fire-resistant design,especially for the petrochemical steel structure. With the rapid increase of temperature in fire and the defection of inflammable and explosi ve,the anti-fire safety performance should be paid more attention. It is one of the important measures to improve architecture security by rational design fire district. When a fire occurs, It can prevent the spread of fire, and thus control the fire in the local space, so as to provide favorable conditions for fire fighting, ultimately reduce casualties and property losses caused by fire.This topic comes from Liaoning Huajin polymer warehouse expansion project, according to the Liaoning Huajin Group owners’request that the old and the new warehouse will be used as a warehouse. In this background, the subject fully consider the needs of owners, warehouse fire in different conditions and objectives, using experimental and simulation contrast, theoretical and numerical simulation to study the fire district of polymer warehouse expansion project.First, define the parameters of polypropylene material by read the literature of the thermal physical properties, And by numerical simulation and experiment, with its critical heat flux and radiant fire dynamics as a benchmark, to verify the correctness of the material parameters defined. Then, according to the principle of "credible most unfavorable" to set multiple fire scenarios that may occur, to simulation in turn, and draw fire ignition scenarios under the most unfavorable position. Finally, according to the most unfavorable location of the ignition point of the fire scene, designed a number of fire scenes that consider the channel between the old and the new warehouse. Through comparative analysis of simulation scenarios, draw fire resistance of warehouse expansion project fire district under different circumstances of channel setting. And proposed recommendations of warehouse stacking methods based on the results analysis to guide the practical application in actual use.Through this study can be obtained that under current actual stacking in the warehouse, the warehouse which established channel between the old and the new cannot use as a fire district; When setting up a half channel between the old and the new warehouse, it can meet the fire resistance requirements by closing the windows. When the two are not connected to the warehouse that is not to set up the channel, the fire do not spread in all conditions of use. According to the requirements of owners, that the old and the new warehouse will be used as a warehouse. Suggest that the owners will connect the old and new warehouse by removing the two stacking of connection. It can be used as a fire district by establishing channel between the old and the new warehouse.
