With the advantages of lower energy consumption and slight environmental pollution, hybrid vehicles are rapily developed all over the world.The "energy saving and new energy automotive industry development plan" in China pointed out the necesscity to popularize hybrid vehicles, energy-saving engine vehicles, in order to enhance the overall technological level of China’s automobile industry. Thus, hybrid vehicles play an important role in China’s economy progress and people’s life quality.This paper focuses on the multi-domain modeling and simulation tenology, the dynamic model is built by the use of dynamic analysis software SimulationX including the hybrid sub structure and overall vehicle. The bybrid bus working on various operation type is studied in this paper.Based on the typical bus line in China, the operation performance of hybrid vehicles is discussed and the parameter Opttimum is researched. The main job incoleves:(1) The operational principle of hybrid system is detailly described at first, which contain series hybrid vehicles, parallel hybrid vehicles, hybrid vehicles and plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles. The configuration type of transition system and energy storage system of hybrid vehicle is analysed. A kind of hybrid buse which is actually put into service is introduced.(2) Based on dynamic simulation software SimulationX, the sub model and overall vehicle model are built in this paper, including vehicle model, engine model, motor model, transmission model and battery model; besides the hybrid vehicles system models working in different operational types are also created, namely series, parallel and hybrid type.(3) The system simulation on the basis of China’s typical bus line cycle is conducted in this part. Different operational modes of hybrid vehicles are inveatigated including pure electric mode, serial mode, parallel mode, direct-drive mode, and brake models.(4) For the parameter research, the effect of vehicle parameter, engine papameter, gernerator parameter are all considered in this chapter in order to search the critical effective parameter which can improve the ride quality of hybrid bus vehicles and some feasible proposal is suggested.(5) The field test for hybrid bus was conducted according to the China’s bus line cycle and the parameter Opttimum is verified.
