With the rapid growth of the national economy, waterway transportation is more and more important in promoting the growth of economy. But due to the particularity of a certain areas, building a bridge above rivers to adapt the development of regional economy is required. More and more ships transit below the bridges, which will increase the probability of ship-bridge collision accident. Ship-bridge collision causes damage to ships and bridges in slight cases, and evenly causes the collapse of the bridge, the sinking of the ships, the casualty of seafarers, the loss of property, so the ship-bridge collision accidents should give due attention. Today, more and more domestic and foreign scholars give researches on ship-bridge collision probability, principle and the facilities which can avoid ship-bridge collision, and so on. there ate fewer researches on ship-bridge collision in China comparatively.Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2project is a project under construction, it plays an important role in developing Caofeidian port, port area, port-city integration, and in promoting the coordination development of Caofeidian port and Jingtang Port, and in strengthening port transportation system. When the Bridge is under employment after it is finished, ships will generate a threat of ship-bridge collision on the bridge. In view of experiences and lessons on ship-bridge collision accidents at home and abroad in recent years, to give precautions in advance, this paper consults to the research status at home and abroad, analyze the natural condition of Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2, investigates the structure and parameters of Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2. summarizes the risk source of ship bridge collision accident in this waters.Based on full analysis of Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2, this paper takes measure of theoretical analysis, empirical formula calculation, compares and selects the model of ship bridge collision probability, and finally, this paper has selected the American AASHTO ship bridge collision probability model to calculate the probability of Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2, and has obtained a comparable reasonable result. Then according to ship bridge collision probability result of Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2,this paper has done an risk assessment on ship bridge collision. During the assessment process, this paper introduced how to determine the acceptable risk criteria, in reference to the basis of the previous research conclusions, this paper has determined that the ship bridge collision risk acceptance criteria of Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2is not higher than0.0001. The evaluation results show that the ship bridge collision risk is higher than the acceptable risk criteria, so this paper introduces the type and comprehensive requirement of pier anti-collision facilities, and according to the actual situation of Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2, suggest that this bridge use rubber (or plastic) flexible anti-collision device as the pier anti-collision facilities. Finally, in order to prevent the occurrence of ship bridge collision accident, this paper gives some suggestions to reduce the ship bridge collision risk in view of accident source. As the project is under construction, it is impossible to verify the study conclusion, only when the project is finished, the bridge put into use, the conclusions of this study can be verified Therefore, at present the results of this study can only be considered as a reference for making counter-measures of ship bridge collision in Caofeidian Industrial District Nachaohe Bridge No.2water area.
