Liquid sloshing in the tank is simulated by numerical method in this thesis. Theforce which the sloshing liquid acts on the rigid wall of the tank is measured, and thebaffles in tank which prevent liquid sloshing are studied in this thesis. Influence of thebaffles setting on liquid sloshing is studied. Provide a reference for optimal design ofbaffles. The main research results are as followsThe numerical model and research method is determined. The liquid in the tankis assumed viscous and incompressible, and the tank and baffles are assumed rigid. The numerical simulation of three-dimensional liquid sloshing in tanks is carried outby the software of FLUENT. The Volume of Fluid (VOF) method and the standard k-εviscous model, and the PISO algorithm is determined for the solution. The numerical simulation of liquid sloshing in tanks which cross-sectional shapeis different is performed. The force sloshing liquid acts on the wall in circle and ovalcross section shape tanks are studied under the condition of the tank truck brake. The numerical simulation of liquid sloshing in tanks which the number of bafflesis different is performed. The force sloshing liquid acts on the wall in tanks whichsetting1,3or7pieces baffles or without baffle is studied, under the condition of thetank truck brake. The numerical simulation of liquid sloshing in tanks which baffle shape isdifferent is performed. The force sloshing liquid acts on the wall in tank which settingstandard baffle, ring baffle, two-oval-holes baffle, corrugated baffle or vertical baffleis studied, under the condition of the tank truck brake. The numerical simulation of liquid sloshing in tanks which baffle location isdifferent is performed. The force sloshing liquid acts on the wall in tank which theheight of baffles is different in the same cross-section is studied, under the conditionof the tank truck brake.
