Wind energy is a kind of renewable clean energy, the maximum power tracking control of wind power generation has always been one of the hot technologies of wind using and wind power researching. Efficient maximum power tracking control algorithm can appropriately increase the conversion efficiency of wind turbine, improve the quality of the grid electricity, make the output power more stable, increase the security and stability of the wind turbine system, it can also make the wind turbine have longer service life and bring greater economic benefits to the enterprise.This paper takes a1.5MW permanent magnet direct-drive wind turbine from Shanghai Wande wind power co., LTD. as an object for research. First, learn some basic knowledge of wind power generation technology. Then understand the operation of the wind turbine and control mode. Focus on the principle and method of maximum power tracking control system. After the analysis and comparison of several common control algorithms, choose a kind of maximum power curve tracking control algorithm which similar to tip speed ratio control and track the wind turbine best power curve to find the best working point for maximum wind energy utilization. And using exhaustive method to calculate the equivalent instantaneous wind speed received by fan impeller rotating plane, the result is used to be an important parameter of the maximum power curve tracking control.Limited to the wind turbine structure and wind sensor, the wind speed in front of wind wheel can not be accurately measured. But the wind speed is an important basis for maximum power tracking control. So in this thesis, regarding the whole wind turbine as a huge anemometer, according to the actual data of the1.5MW wind turbine and other parameters that can be accurately measured when the wind turbine is running, using exhaustive method to inverse launch the average equivalent wind speed received by fan impeller rotating plane. And on this basis, at the same time of achieving the data communication of Bladed software and the external controller, use an external controller to control the wind turbine system by maximum power curve tracking algorithm.According to the method described above, regarding1.5MW permanent magnet direct-drive wind turbine as a specific model, under the GH Bladed environment which is an authoritative wind simulation software, realizing the calculation of equivalent wind speed and wind turbine operation process control simulation by C language programming. Comparing the simulation results of the curve and the software internal controller simulation results, the results verify the feasibility of the calculating of equivalent wind speed by exhaustive method and the effectiveness of maximum power curve tracking control algorithm.
