The concrete structure is widely used in modern bridge engineering construction.Stress and deformation of the concrete structure caused by the shrinkage and creepeffect directly affect the safety, applicability and durability of the concrete bridgestructure. So, in construction stage, it is necessary to consider the shrinkage and creepeffect.A lot of research on the shrinkage and creep effect of concrete and the bridgeconstruction control has been done by domestic and foreign scholars. On the researchof shrinkage and creep effect during winter downtime for the constructionperformance of long-span continuous rigid frame bridge is very little. In order toensure good line shape and reasonable internal force of the bridge, some research hasbeen done on shrinkage and creep effect during winter downtime. Understand andgrasp how stress and deformation changes during winter downtime, promote theconstruction of long-span continuous rigid frame bridge in northern regions. In this paper, Bridge1in the north resort of Changbai-Mountain internationaltourism was taken as an example. In construction stage, monitoring points were fixedon the edge of every segment, and monitored the elevation and stress change of themonitoring points continuously. This paper established the finite element model usingMIDAS to get the theoretical data of the elevation and stress change duringconstruction stage for every monitoring point. Establish two models containing winterdowntime and continuous construction, get the theoretical data of the elevation andstress in finished stage for every monitoring point. Then compared the data calculatedby MIDAS with the measured data, researched the impact on line shape caused by theshrinkage and creep effect during winter downtime. The results show that, there is little variation in the theoretical data and measureddata of the elevation and stress during winter downtime, the difference of thetheoretical elevation and stress between the winter downtime model and thecontinuous construction model is also small, the shrinkage and creep effect duringwinter downtime have a small impact on the construction performance of long-spancontinuous rigid frame bridge. The studied results may offer reference for follow-upstudies.
