| With the continuous improvement of permanent magnet materials,power electroniccomponents and rotor position detection technology,the permanent magnet brushless DCmotors have been rapidly developed, they are widely used in every field,such as variablespeed drive, servo motor, electric vehicle and industrial production. Therefore, rational andcorrect design of permanent magnet brushless DC motor is an increasingly importantsubject. In order to simplify rotor position detection device of brushless DC motor, thispaper has developed a Brushless DC motor based on Wiegand sensor, the magneticsensor Wiegand sensor used as the position sensor of Brushless DC motor.This paper firstly introduces the working principle and the internal mec hanism ofWiegand sensor.Wiegand sensor is a new kind of component made based on Wiegandeffect. It can be triggered by a magnetic induction intensity of8.5mT, and provides a stableoutput voltage pulse without external power supply, whose amplitude can reach to8V.Secondly, by using the Ansoft finite element software a single-phase4poles brushless DCmotor was designed, and the working air gap magnetic density and the startingperformance of the motor was simulated.Finally, single phase brushless DC motor drivesystem was designed and hardware control program corresponding was written.Using theWiegand sensor for brushless DC motor rotor position detection device, this paper builtsthe Wiegand sensor signal sampling and reshaping circuit, and completes commutation ofthe motor through processing of Wiegand signal by MCU. Taking a4pole brushless DCmotor as an example, the MCU STC89C52RC control the chip L298n, and the L298n drivethe motor, realizing its starting and running.The experimental results show that, the Wiegand sensor signal can be reflect theimmediate rotor position, through the single-chip microcomputer and power switchelement can realize the commutation of brushless DC motor and make it running smoothly.Wiegand sensor can be used as a position detection device of Brushless DC motor, and theposition sensor is simplified. |
