Semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is the main pavement structure of highway in our country, it has the structure characteristics completely different and flexible pavement. Semi-rigid base materials, especially cement stabilized macadam material due to the brittleness of temperature, humidity, strong sensitivity, the strength formation and use of the process, and because of the change of water content and dry shrinkage temperature shrinkage cracks due to temperature change.In this paper, through the kerf of semi-rigid base, that the temperature contraction stress is to determine the main factors on shrinkage joint space, and the temperature stress, shrinkage stress and load stress is not the main factor controlling shrinkage joint space. Starting with the analysis of growth from the strength of semi-rigid base health stage growth characteristics, temperature variation and core sample integrity and strength of base relations, and combined with the real project, summed up the effective method to determine the reasonable time saw kerf. The semi-rigid base relative kerf depth and temperature relationship analysis, relative kerf depth decreases with increase of base plate thickness; in addition, kerf spacing increases, the relative kerf depth of aVH can be reduced, but the decreasing magnitude smaller, and gradually stabilized.This paper focuses on the kerf technology of semi-rigid base in the application of control surface cracks of Weifang municipal engineering road, to the real project, the cement stabilized macadam pre-cutting crack treatment measures of test road construction, and the saw kerf, filling and geotextile and modified asphalt APP mount joint construction methods and problems in construction are summarized. Indicated through the test observation, pavement performance is good, there is no reflection cracks. But the long-term effect needs further observation of test road. Using the method of life cycle cost, the pre-cutting crack treatment of cement stabilized macadam base asphalt pavement analysis of the economy, and the economic analysis with the results of the survey.
