Multi-source traffic information can comprehensively reflect urban roadtraffic conditions from different aspects, and can specifically express the degree oftraffic congestion of the urban road network. Thereby provide a real-timescheduling basis and travel reference to the management departments and thepublic. At present, in dealing with the multi-source traffic information, manystudies have commonly used logical and mathematical model to fill the informationand less concerned the independence and ind ustry characteristics in the formationand processing of different thematic traffic information. That is easy to bring theissues of decreased the practical application value and increased handlingdifficulty.Based in part on the characteristics of two types, buses and taxis, of specificoperating system, this paper studied the key technologies of independent urbanthematic traffic information and regional meticulous traffic information processing.And explored analytical methods and applications of multi-source trafficinformation taken into account this. The main research content includes thefollowing aspects.Firstly, a more flexible network data structure was designed which wassuitable for general road network and bus thematic network under a comprehensivetraffic information.Secondly, we proposed a4-parameter road network matching and trajector yrecognition algorithm based on the previous road network data structure and usethe result of the algorithm to generate thematic traffic information.Thirdly, a simple multi-source traffic information filling model was designedbased on spatial-temporal correlation method and moving average method fordifferent thematic road conditions. Regional meticulous traffic informationinterpolation and coverage were achieved.Fourthly, Real-time traffic information system was designed and implementedbased on the previous key t echnologies. The actual data was used to comply withspecific analysis and application of the multi-source traffic information from thethree aspects: multi-source traffic information visualization methods, frequentcongestion road recognition and bus arrival time prediction.The results show that the research can form a more complete technical route ofmulti-source traffic information processing and application, especially acomprehensive buses and taxies thematic traffic information processing technologyhas been achieved with good results in regional meticulous road network. Andprovide the basis and reference for the formation of a generic model for futuretraffic information processing and systematic process.
