Study On Preservation Planning And Presentation Designing Of Guide Ancient City In Qinghai Province

This paper takes Guide ancient city, one of the fort forms of Ming dynasty, as a research object. Guide ancient city is located in Heyin village, Guide, Hainan Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Qinghai province. It once belonged to Guide independent battalion. Guide ancient city has been announced as one of the fifth batch of Key Cultural Telic Units under State Protection by State Department in2001. This Key Cultural Telic Unit under State Protection includes wall of Guide ancient city, ancient drill ground and six compounds:Wanshou concept (contains Yuhuang Pavilion), Confucian temple, Large Buddhist temple, Guanyue temple and Public education center.A Preservation Planning and Presentation Designing of Guide ancient city must be formulated to better protection. After the commission by administration of cultural heritage in Guide, Cultural relics protection and research center of Lanzhou university takes part in the work of making Guide ancient city protection plan and presentation design. Author became a member of the workgroup.This article did those jobs:(1) The research, based on the analysis and collation of archaeological and historical documents of Guide ancient city, unscrambled its historical value and cultural significance. Based on abundant measured drawings and large-scale site surveys of Guide ancient city as well as the environment around it, a system evaluation of the present situation had been made.(2) Based on the principle:the premise of ruin’s demonstration is permanently keeping the history information of ruins, this article analyzed the variety damage of Guide ancient city, the severity of damage, the harm of damage and gave some protection measures to chose. Those measures could protect the ruins from damage of environment factors and human factors.(3)This article afresh confirms the preservation objects, identified Guide ancient city conservation planning objectives and principles. Protection area and construction area have been determined, gave management requirement to every protection area and construction area, also confirmed the heritage and environmental protection measures, made the environmental planning.(4) Based on each part of ruin’s fettle of protection, past character and degree of importance to confirmed way of demonstration, this paper finished traffic organization planning, instructed the concept of ruin’s presentation design, ensured how to design exhibition, service and management facility, figured up upper limit of tourist number. To guarantee the implementation of presentation designing, formulated infrastructure planning, management planning, disaster prevention special planning and stage planning of Guide ancient city.This paper belongs to the heritage preservation planning and demonstration designing study. It will be a good example to learn, when formulation of preservation planning and presentation designing for other fort forms in Qinghai province is needed.
