With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards,the requirement on the quality and the reliability of power supply from the user becomes increasingly high. Once the fault occurred in distributiion system,quick and accurate analysis, location and isolation of the fault is extremely important for minimizing users’supply interruption and improving the power supply security and reliability.This paper focuses on distribution network fault Location method.The traditional distribution network fault location methods are mostly based on FTU information.Under the condition of complete information,the traditional methods not only obtain accurate faulty component,but also make the efficience high.However,considering the difference of regional distribution automation equipment installation and the lack of enough monitor terminals installed on the very most of the lines,it can’t meet the majority of cases if using pure FTU information for fault location.But due to monitor terminals installed on distribution transformer even ammeter now,the information using in the fault location can not be limited to FTU or fault indicator informaiton.So in order to improve accuracy of distribution fault location result and optimize modern distribution automatic fault location scheme,this paper detailedly analyzes and researchs distribution fault location method based on multi-source information.Details are as follow:1.This paper do deep analysis on multi-source fault information.This section analyzes information type and meaning contained in each of the fault information.The information source of each of the fault information is determined.The information levels which include feeder level,distribution transformer level and costomer level are defined according to the hierarchy shown in each of fault information.At the same time,defining the priority of all kinds of fault alarm information is the method how to use fault alarm information according to the information hierarchy.2.This paper puts forward topology search method required in fault location method.Distribution network topology features are analysed by comparision with transmission network topology.Distribution network topology analysis mainly focuses on researching topology search method.After breadth-first search method is proposed as a topology search method,detailed search process is vividly described with the search roadmap and topology analysis diagram based on CIM model.3.This paper designs distribution network fault location method based on multi-source information.Firstly the framework of distribution network fault location method is constructed according to the priority.Then fault location methods based on all kinds of fault alarm information are respectively presented. Details are as follow:(1)Distribution network fault location method with circuit break as beginning is designed. This method is based on circuit breaker information,FTU alarm information or fault indicator alarm information. Core principle of this method is using the most downstream equipment which has alarm information and the installation situation of downstream monitor terminals of this equipment todetermine fault section.(2)Distribution network fault location method with section switch or fault indicator as beginning is proposed.This method sums up the law of upstream and downstream position of monitor terminals which have alarm information on the basis of distribution network fault location method with circuit break as beginning.In the case of no circuit break information,detailed steps of determining upstream and downstream position of monitor terminals are designed according to FTU or fault indicator alarm information.(3)Distribution network fault location method based on distribution transformer exception alarm information is analysed.This method researchs position of fault inferred from each kind of distribution transformer exception alarm information on the basis of careful analysis of detailed meaning of each kind of alarm information.In addition,this method accurately locates faulty component with all possible measured information.(4) Distribution network fault location method based on customer complaint information is researched.The main idea of this method is determining position of fault by searching upstream equipment and calling measurement information along the customer power supply path.Meantime this method uses part of the criterion of fault location method based on distribution transformer exception alarm information when searching the distribution transformer.4.This paper proposes distribution network blackout area analysis method.In consideration that other feeder lines possibly restore power supply of non-fault region in open-loop distribution looped network after fault,this method firstly design the method of determining the starting point of search based on faulty component.Then blackout area location method is designed by the outage boundary judgment rule expressed through that internal connected equipment of online switch is blackout while external connected equipment is’t blackout.Finally,proof technique for faulty component is analysed based on blackout area.
