ESP-the stable device of automotive electronic which is a huge breakthrough in thedevelopment of car history, it increases the active safety of automobile to a new level aswell. The ESP system by establishing a reasonable degree of freedom model, using fuzzycontrol technology to monitoring the road environment of the car, analyzing the operationand then controlling the car so that cars can be more smooth and more safety and alsoprotect the drivers’ safety. His paper gives a detailed elaboration on the control technologyand principles of the ESP system and also carry out the simulation study.This paper states the importance of vehicle handling stability for people and thenecessity of ensuring the automotive safety and driver’s safety through improving vehiclehandling stability. This paper regards the investigation and analysis of the research onvehicle handling stability both at home and abroad as a basis,and then come into analyzing.Apply the SIMULINK module of MATLAB software to construct in order to achieve thesimulation graphic and curve and compare the curve with the two-degree of freedom curveunder steady state and find the difference.Next,based on the analysis related controlmethods, fuzzy control method is selected as a control strategy to adjust the parameters ofsteering stability. Add a control module in simulation. Under the S road, conducted a yawrate control simulation, sideslip angle and yaw rate control simulation and sideslip anglewhile controlling the simulation, the simulation results were analyzed and compared.
