Design And Implementation Of Audio And Video Surveillance Center Software For Elevator

In modern society, with the extensive growth of number and range of applicationof elevator, elevator accidents are more and more frequent. So the demand of audio andvideo surveillance system of elevator is more urgent. Audio and video surveillancecenter software which is used to view and control audio and video information in theelevator is especially important. Now, traditional surveillance center software is thestreaming media player in most cases. Streaming media player has some shortcomings,such as: the only way for displaying video, lack of appropriate interaction mechanisms,and lager delay, lower real-time. So it’s difficult to meet the needs of modernsurveillance system.In this paper, the shortcoming of traditional surveillance center software, combinedwith the demand of audio and video surveillance system of elevator, the audio and videosurveillance system for elevator was designed. It has such functions: voice intercomfunction which is a two-way interaction mechanism, video monitoring function, thefunction of displaying elevator’s status, and so on. In this paper, DirectSoundtechnology is used to complete the acquisition of audio data, and achieve voice intercomfunction, so it enhances the interaction mechanism of surveillance center software; RTP,RTSP, and RTCP are used to ensure that audio and video data can be transported fastand efficiently in the network, so it improves the real-time performance of surveillancecenter software; the packing and unpacking process of H.264video file is researched toensure that H.264video file can be transported normally in the network, so thesurveillance center software can receive the correct H.264video file for displaying; themethod of dynamic buffer length setting is used to optimize the video buffer of thesurveillance center software, so it improves the software’s performance.Testing and application results show that audio and video surveillance centersoftware for elevator has achieved voice intercom, video surveillance, and displayingelevator’s status greatly. Compared with the traditional surveillance center software, ithas better interaction mechanisms, and higher performance of real-time.
