As a renewable energy technology, ground source heat pump (GSHP) has the advantagesof energy saving, environmental protection, low operation cost and the like, It’s becomingmore and more the owner’s choice. While ground-coupled heat pump (GCHP) is the fastestgrowing and most penetration form and is widely used in building heating and cooling. However, there are many problems in each phase of the process of application, and whichseriously restrict the promotion and application of GCHP. Each phase’s problems cannot besolved will influence the running effect of GCHP system. Therefore, we need to build anevaluation index system based on the theory of whole life-cycle, and determine thecorresponding evaluation method, to make a comprehensive evaluation on GCHP.First of all, this paper analyses and compares the related concepts of the whole life cycletheories, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and the WholeLife-cycle Appraisal (WLA).Then determine to use the theory of Whole Life-cycle Appraisal, divide the whole life cycle of GCHP into the following five phases: Decision-making Phase,Design Phase, Construction Phase, Operation and Maintenance Phase, Scrap and RecyclingPhase, and put forward corresponding evaluation indexes for every phases, build up theGCHP evaluation index system based on the theory of the whole life cycle.Because of the GCHP evaluation index system based on the theory of the whole lifecycle have both quantitative indexes and qualitative analysis indexes, by comparing the mainevaluation method, this paper uses AHP-Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation method, whichcombines qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis well, to comprehensively evaluate theGCHP system. Use the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), by the means of expert scoringmethod, to construct judgment matrix, then analyze and calculate the result to determine theweight coefficient of every evaluation index. Finally, this paper evaluates a GCHP system of one typical office building in Beijing onthe basis of the whole life cycle theories and AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.Make use of TRNSYS software to simulate the operating conditions and energy consumptionof the GCHP system and the conventional air conditioning system (cold water chiller and gasboiler) in the same conditions. At the same time, on-site test is also employed for the GCHPsystem, including the indoor application effect test, heat pump unit energy efficiency test andheat pump system energy efficiency test. Analyze and calculate the testing results, then useAHP-Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation method, by inviting relevant experts to of evaluate the corresponding indexes, to statistical analyze the evaluation result and conclude the finalevaluation results of the typical GCHP project based on the theory of the whole life cycle.
