| Fuel injection system is a key factor to determine diesel engine performance. So it is a very important system in the design stage. Traditional design method is based on experience. Numerical simulation method for fuel injection system develops quickly in company with computer technology development. Professional simulative calculation software has been applied to modern design as a important assistant way. The advanced design method can reduce design expenses, shorten design cycle and improve design quality.In the design process of fuel injection system for a big power & middle speed engine, calculation and analysis are conducted for several structures using Hydsim simulative calculation software, and final design scheme confirmed in short time.The newly developed fuel system is tested in a single cylinder engine, line pressure and nozzle needle lift is recorded, and compared with the calculation results. The calculation results agree with the experimental results. This proves the correctness of the simulation and the calculation model, which will benefit the future design work. |
