The CAN(controller area network) bus, one of the standard field-buses,has high reliability, cheapness, and many merits. Now, it is used in many fields.The paper introduces a distributed control system of elevator embed CANhigh protocol---CANopen, and deeply discusses the system structure, designphilosophy and implementation method. The purpose of the design is to makethe products made by the domestic factories used by each other without anychange, enhance our elevator control level, strengthen the internationalcompetition, and upgrade the elevator market quotient.For this, the following work has been done:First, the recent development situation and tendency of elevator controlsystem has been discussed. Against the development of our elevator industry,the paper puts forward a double CANopen bus structure. One is used toconnect the Absolute-value Encoder and Frequency Converter, the other isused to transmit signals from outdoor call controller and indoor controller.Based on analyzing the principle of elevator control system, the paperdescribes the whole realization of each function module. It mainly includeshardware and software design.Hardware: the main controller and the outdoor call controller have beendesigned. The main controller uses the LPC2292 as the CPU, which embeddedARM7 core. With the two CAN interface, it is suitable for design. The outdoorcall controller uses the ATmega8 as the CPU. It communicates with the maincontroller through CAN chip---MCP2515. Software: the main control flow, the outdoor call flow and the remotemonitor software on PC are described. The main control flow is responsiblefor the system running control. The outdoor call flow accomplishes theinformation transfer between passengers and elevator. And the remote monitorsoftware is for the elevator maintenance.Finally, for validating the design, a debugging model is achieved. Theresult makes clear that the system runs all right. The motor can normally start,shift and brake. And the detected CAN node data is in accord with theDSP417 protocol.
