Pests on tobacco cover more than200species, and are causing severe damage on yield and quality of tobacco.This research is funded by the projects of "key technology research and demonstration of pollution-free tobacco production" affiliated with Shanghai tobacco company and "research and development of organic tobacco in rice-tobacco crop rotating area-Chengzhou" affiliated with Hunan Chengzhou tobacco company. Investigations were carried out in rice-tobacco crop rotating area in guiyang county, Chengzhou city, aimed to ascertain the amount and species of tobacco pest and its natural enemy, and map the occurring rules of primary pests, which not only serve to establish specific strategy for pest control, but also offer crucial information for the protection and research of natural enemy and environment.Specimens were collected by using frequency trembler grid lamps from three tobacco farms located in villages wangsi and wangshang in rengyi town and village zhuxi in qiaoshi town, guiyang county, chengzhou city, during2010to2011.61species of pests and34species of natural enemy which distributed into43families and95species were identified among those specimens collected.Research on four kinds of main pests including Agrotis ypsilon Rottemberg, Myzus persicae (Sulzer) Heliothis assulta and Prodenia litura (Fabricius) was carried out in GuiYang. Myzus persicae (Sulzer) was mainly chosen for five fixed points which were not medicined and20plants of each point was investigated every3days. The results show that the occurrence peak of Myzus persicae appeared mainly in the late may and June, and was significantly effected by temperature and rainfall. Other kinds of pests are collected by frequency vibration type insecticidal light. The occurrence peak of larvae was detected in terms of the occurrence rules of adults and overall effect of climatological factors. The peak of Agrotis ypsilon Rottemberg adult happened during the April18th-May5th, while the peak of Heliothis assulta adult happened during May10th-20th and June10th-25th, Prodenia litura (Fabricius) hair moth on May10th-20th and June5th, overlapped with Heliothis assulta. To analyze the occurrence characteristics of Agrotis ypsilon Rottemberg and to choose different transplant time to investigate its damag, related potions test was carried out on the Myzus persicae (Sulzer) as a main pests. Firstly, selection of biological control agents was carried out through indoor toxicity test and the results show that0.3%of azadirachtin revealed more than93.3%of the control effect. To carry out field experiment by selecting0.3%azadirachtin beta-cypermethrin、0.5%abamectin scattered grain agent and water hydroxyl fish on the cane ketone according to the results of indoor toxicity test. Azadirachtin achieved90%of the control effect in field trials after7days while its quick-acting is poor and the validity is reliable. Control efficiency can reach up to71.42%in15days after treatment.Research aimed at investigation of insect pests occurrence in GuiYang, and according to the survey, pest control calendar was established which serve for comprehensive control of tobacco pest. In addition, this paper provides valuable information for further research.
