Irrigation tension and precipitation limitation constrains maize productivity potential. The objective is to explicit water consumption regulation and water use efficiency of high yield spring maize under different tillage and plastic film mulching measures. To further understand high yield spring maize with water-saving mechanism.(1)Water consumption layer of high yield spring maize is0-60cm, while moves to0-40cm under different tillages. Deep Plowing Tillage and Inter Strip Rotary Tillage’s capacity of water-holding water-accumulation is strong, however, subsoil’s capacity of water-holding is weak in arid environment, powerful in rainfall. Water consumption layer moves to0-30cm under different film mulching. Soil water content is highest under covering film between furrows treatment.(2)Tillage and plastic film mulching measures reduce water consumption amount. Water consumption amount shows:Deep Plowing Tillage<Inter Strip Rotary Tillage<Subsoil Tillage in Autumn35cm. CP signally increases from Breeding to Silk, while signally reduces from Silk to Maturity under different tillage. The covering film between furrows treatment signally reduce water consumption amount.(3)Inter Strip Rotary Tillage treatment signally reduces soil partical size, soil volume weight and soil compaction, while signally increases field capacity and irrigation quality. After experiencing soil thawing and refreezing, Deep Plowing Tillage and Subsoil Tillage in Autumn35cm signally reduces soil partical size, soil volume weight and soil compaction, while signally increases field capacity and irrigation quality.(4)Comparing to Farm mode, high yield mode signally increases yield and biological yield. Tillage and plastic film mulching signally increase yield and biological yield, water use efficiency, water production efficiency and leaf water use efficiency, and Inter Strip Rotary Tillage and covering film between furrows are the biggest.
