In order to study the Suitable amount of nitrogen application and planting density of Neimai836in hilly area of central Sichuan Basin, to further tap the increasing yield potential, To better service forthe agricultural production of local, in order to obtain the best economic benefit and social benefit. Thetest set of nitrogen and basic seedlings of2factors,3levels of nitrogen, Pure nitrogen were120kg/hm~2,195kg/hm~2,270kg/hm~2; planting density of3levels, the basic seedlings were1800000/hm~2,2100000/hm~2and2400000/hm~2strains.A randomized block design, repeated3times, a total of27district.The results showed that plant height of Neimai836enhanced with plant density increasing whilelength of wheat ear decreased.When increase nitrogen rate and plant density to a limited extent,percentage of earbearing tiller was raised, but it would decrease if nitrogen rate and plant density excess.The maximum population at before-winter and jointing stage increased while nitrogen rate and plantdensity increasing, as well as the biomass. Grain yield has a close relationship with biomass, and theaverage harvest index was about0.43.Effective spike number per mu, grain number per spike weight of1000kernels and grain yield increased with nitrogen rate increased in a certain range. However, thosewould decline if the nitrogen rate beyond a certain range. With the increasing of plant density, grainnumber per spike and weight of1000kernels decreased, but effective spike number per mu increased.Synthesizing the influence of nitrogen rate and plant density on plant characters and yield traits,theoptimum nitrogen amount was195kg/hm~2and the suitable planting density of2100000plants/hm~2respectively for nei mai836in the hilly area of central Sichuan.
