At present, our country pays more and more attention to ecological benefit and green planning as the material civilization improves continuously and it made great efforts to improve the quality of the environment.Whether it is the construction of the garden city, ecological city or the new rural landscape, they all made great progress. In this great change, people only stress on the pursuit of the gorgeous perfection, but forget the giant impact of the on the environment. For example:with the rapid development of China’s higher education, institutions of higher learning expand constantly. In this expansion, people attach more importance to the whole macro planning of the school and elaborate design and construction of the building instead of the important aspect of campus greening.In campus design, foreign universities don’t think function and application research on plant is the point. Most of the studies are focused on planning and design style. In terms of overall campus environment, foreign countries pay more attention to the construction of original ecological residential areas. Most campuses are naturally integrated into the surrounding environment without particularly obvious enclosure and campus boundary. In these ecological constructions, it is mainly reflected in the ecological environment, renewable energy systems, protection of nature and the original ecological environment. It advocates natural beauty in plant landscape and the impact on the vision.In China, in addition to the construction of campus planning and design aesthetic, research of combination of plant performance and art are paid more attention to. For example:some plants can be very good to improve the environment in the performance, research on plant allocation principle, and combined with art. From the "be good to hear or see+practical value", the "plant layout an+architectural features","one sight each season+four changes", from the ecology, from the angle of aesthetics, from the angles of plants and collocation to research and develop emphasizing the development of cultural and artistic environment.The campus is the material carrier of school spirit, academic and culture. Advanced institutions, especially have their specific structure and function. Green construction is an important part of the work of school construction. It is not only the essential content of the construction of two civilizations but also the performance of both overall appearance of a unit and the external image. But the implementation of campus greening projects is not an isolated individual project. It should be planned as a whole, coordinated synchronously with basic construction. Thus it is conducive to the construction of campus environment and to create a good educational environment and natural landscape.Campus is so-called "the second home" for us where talents grow so the culture here needs to be embodied and good learning environment should be built too. Environment plays an important part to surroundings. A good landscape design can lead students to study better and the design is also an expression which combines the landscape culture well with the environmental exploration. Landscape design fits the campus spirit we propose so it is a indispensable component of the whole campus environment.The paper takes the western campus of Yangtze University as a research object to conduct a systematic evluation research. The western campus includes the teaching institution focused on Agriculture, Economy and Student Work Department for freshmen. Unity and all kinds of sources of students are the characteristics of this campus so that campus design does not only limit on the simple plant allocation. Firstly systematic statistics should be done and researchable on existing plants grown inside the campus.And then mark where the problems exist according the statistics and put up with effective ways to solve the problems.Secondly, issues on plant environment can be discussed from the aesthetics aspect. And deeper research can also be done from multi-angle like plant landscape, zoological plant and greenbelt planning. Lastly, basic principles, basic rules and their functions can also be used to evluate and meanwhile more aspects need to be considered like artistry, culture, ecology, reusable.The paper is divided into six parts to explain the meaning of the research. First chapter is the whole explanation on relevant contents.The second chapter is to discuss the problems occurred on campus plant landscape.The third chapter is evalute the process on plant landscape inside the western campus of Yangtze University and the effective ways to solve related problems. The fourth chapter is to certify its meaning from basic principles, basic rules and special functions. The fifth chapter is to explain the basical analysis of artistry system of campus plant landscape and its insensible factors. The last chapter is to put up with the ways to improve the plant landscape of western campus of Yangtze University and the set up of the relevant evaluation system.So the evaluation on plant landscape of western campus of Yangtze University is a typical sample. To improve our surroundings is the first step and then research on campus greenbelt planning’ features, principles and the relationship between it with the inner development of campus can provide the theory for the future. Our better and practical living spaces are based on plant landscape and it is the purpose of writing this paper.
