It is belonged toegusi seed watermelon subspecies of ordinary watermelon species of Watermelon category; Edible seedwatermelon (Citrullus lanatus ssp. vulgaris var. megalaspermus) is commonly known as “seedwatermelon†and is the ordinary watermelon seed variants of watermelon from Cucurbitaceae. Ordinarywatermelons, edible seed watermelon and egusi seed watermelon from abroad and inbred lines were mainlyused in this study, using the means of quantitative genetics to analysis the genetic characters of the seedwatermelon germplasm and to cluster analysis; Adoption of internationally accepted physiological races ofpowdery mildew hosts to identify physiological races in seed watermelon of Changji, Xinjiang area;Identification for resistance to fusarium wilt, powdery mildew and bacterial fruit blotch (BFB) in seedlingstage through artificial inoculation on62inbred pure lines.
