This paper studied on the corn planter and related technologies in the hilly area of central SichuanProvince. Basing on the2Y-5corn planter, this research analyzed maize traits and yield around thedifferent sowing treatment、interact of mechanical density and variety、mechanical spacing. The resultsare as follows:1、The seeding is tidy with mechanical sowing, and the groups have obvious advantages comparedwith the traditional sowing. The seeding height is up to2.67%, dry weight accumulation is high14.96%,leaf area is high6.37%, yield is high3.57%. No-tillage has poor effect that doesn’t fit to promote in theregion. The mechanical sowing after mechanical or manual tillage can get higher yield.2、The same suitable density of these three types is4000plants per667m2.The most suitabledensity of these three types are3000plants per667m2for the falt hybrid Changyu13,3500plants per667m2for the semi-compact hybrid Chengdan30,4500plants per667m2for the compact hybridDenghai605. Chengdan30gets the highest yield in3500plants per667m2, having the best steady andhigh yield ability.3、In3200plants per667m2under50cm row spacing, light stronger,plant diseases and insectpests of smaller, plant growth better. The yield is8.69%higher than65cm row spacing, and21.64%higher than80cm row spacing.4、In2010-2012,mechanical sowing had a total of1364hectare in Zhongjiang County,cost savingamounted4.328million yuan,having significant econmic benefits,also has a high ecological and socialbenefit.
