Potato as fourth major crops, planted all over the world, not only nutritious, but also a widerange of uses. Research on effect of row spacing and planting density on potato with big ridgedouble line, analysis of whole potatoes and diced seeded on yield and economic benefits, in orderto provide theoretical guidance for the big ridge double line production of potato. Experimentuse randomized block design, with the big ridge double line and whole seed sowing, cut ascontrol, studied3plant spacing (15cm,20cm,25cm) and3row spacing (15cm,20cm,25cm), consisting of9different planting structure of3planting densities (12plants/m2,9plants/m2,7.2plants/m2). In the whole growth period and later period, on the plant height, stemdiameter, main stem number, tuber number and size of potato rate, yield and starch content weredetermined and analyzed. The results show that:(1) With the row spacing increased, plant height and stem diameter increased; the main stemnumber, tuber number and yield showed a decreasing trend; ratio of large and mediumtuber, ratio of small tuber and starch content was not significant difference, most of the starchcontent was maintained at15%~16%. The3row spacing on potato plant height, stemdiameter, stem number, node number, tuber yield and starch content was not significantdifference.(2) With the planting density decreased, plant height, stem diameter and ratio of large andmedium tuber showed an increasing trend; main stem number, tuber number, ratio of small tuberand yield showed a decreasing trend; variation of starch content was not obvious, most of thestarch content was maintained at15%~16%. The planting density was9plants/m2and7.2plants/m2with planting density was12plants/m2on plant height was significant differencerespectively,3the planting density on main stem diameter and starch content was not significantdifference, on main stem number, tuber number and yield was significant difference. Theplanting density was12plants/m2and planting density was9plants/m2on yield was significantdifference, and planting density was7.2plants/m2on yield was significant difference.(3) Ratio of small tuber of planting density was12plants/m2ratio of small tuber ishigh, suitable for seed production; Among them, ratio of small tuber of row spacing is20cm isthe highest,37.41%, the most suitable for production of seed; Ratio of large and medium tuber of planting density was7.2plants/m2is high, suitable for the production of commoditypotato; Among them, ratio of large and medium tuber of row spacing is20cm was the highest,75.61%, the most suitable for the production of commodity potato.(4) Whole potato was significantly higher than diced on yield and there was significantdifference, increase in the range of7%~10%. Whole potato is slightly lower than diced onstarch content and there was not significant difference, a difference of less than0.5%. Wholepotato was higher than diced on economic benefit, increase in the range of1.9%~2.8%.
