"Yang6Zao" is early-maturing mutants found from fields of the conventional indica varieties Yang Dao6. This study on Yang6Zao characteristics, different sowing time and density test and the application prospect of the comprehensive study. Main research results are as follows:1.Yang6Zao is conventional early rice with short growth period, strong disease resistance, wide adaptability sowing, etc2. The growth period of Yang6Zao sowing on August1th was99days compared to131days in Yang Dao6of the same sowing date, Yang6Zao shortened32days. The mainly difference was from sowing to initial heading stage, Yang6Zao took68days and Yang Dao6took96days. The performance of Yang6Zao in other sowing date: the growth period was108days sowing on March8,99days sowing on June8,115days sowing on August21, and127days sowing on August24. And the growth period of cutting propagation was76days; Ratooning rice growth period was75days; Two kinds of cultivation mode of growth period was close. Visible different sowing date on growth period of Yang6Zao have certain effect, but growth period sowing after mid to late August was much longer, due to the weather, so it was not fit for Yang6Zao to sow after the mid to late August in the future.3. Different sowing date and density test on Yang6Zao showed that the processing thory yield of four treatments sowing in March8th and June8th is consistent.The treatment, hole density within3seedlings, plant spacing of16.7cm by10cm,yielded the hightest performance and showed significant difference compared to others. On August21and24planting various processing thory yield was very low.4. The cutting propagation showed that cutting can greatly shorten the breeding time and the1000-grain weight is higher than seed propagation,but the survival rate of cutting propagation was very low.5. The ratoon characters and yields of Yang6Zao were lower than the first season planting on March8th.The performance of ratoon yields were the basically same as the main crop. The treatment, hole density within3seedlings, plant spacing of16.7cm by10cm,yielded the hightest performance and showed significant difference compared to others.The density of the first season planting affect the yield of ratoon.6. The cold hardiness studies on seeding of Yang6Zao showed that:(1) Tends of change contents in various physiological and biochemical indexes of Yang6Zao and Yang Dao6was basically the same.But there was some differences in amplitude of variation.Through principal component analysis and the membership function analysis comprehensive evaluation indiacted that the cold resistance of Yang6Zao was stronger than Yang Dao (2) Through indoor low-temperature stress tests on Yang6Zao stump showed that the strong cold resistance of the rice stump.(3) The research on field ratoon overwintering indicated that the survival rate of spraying paclobutrazol on rice ratoon was significantly higher than that in control group.The visible paclobutrazol have a certain role to enhance the cold hardiness of winter Yang6Zao ratoon.
