In this study, eight different rice lines (species) Hual18, Hual19,11NX-2417, SD-2,2010QX-62,2009XZ-58,2007G318and Ningjing41(CK) were used as test materials to investigate and analyze seedling quality, tiller number, growth activities in the site of Ningxia foundation seed farm. Photosynthetic characteristics, quality characteristics, agriculture characteristics and traits associated with yield and acclimatization of these eight rice lines (species) in six different sites in Ningxia were investigated. The results were as follows:1. Stem diameter of SD-2was the most thick, reached2.31mm. The shoot dry weight and root dry weight of Hual19were the largest, which were0.04g and0.05g respectively. Hual18had the number of root and root length were the largest among these eight lines, reached4.0and1.83cm respectively.2. The change curve of tiller number of these eight lines was a parabola. The total number of stems of all these lines were reached maximum on June25and tended towards stability on July26. Hual19had the highest total stem number; reached123.5whose final total number of stems was88.1, just below the CK Ningjing41.3. The photosynthetic rate of these eight lines were reached maximum on July26. The photosynthetic rate at11:00is higher than other times. During the whole growing period, the photosynthetic rate of Hual18was high and the highest peak reached13.6umol.m-2.S-2. The transpiration rate was higher than other times at the time of13:00. The transpiration rate of SD-2was the lowest during the whole growing period.4. The yield of Hual19was increased in five sites and decreased in one site, on average was842.3kg per mu, compared with Ningjing41(CK) increased by4.8%, but had no significantly. The yield of Hual18was increased in four sites and decreased in two site, on average was858.3kg per mu, compared with Ningjing41(CK) increased by6.9%, very significantly. The yield of SD-2was increased in five sites and decreased in one site, on average was832.3kg per mu, compared with Ningjing41(CK)increased by3.6%, but had no significantly.Comprehensive evaluation of adaptability analysis:Hual18and Hual19were very good;SD-2、11NX-2417.2007G318was good;Ningjing41(CK) was well;2009XZ-58.2010QX-62were poor.5. Many quality traits such as whole refined rice rate, ratio of length and width, setback viscosity, gel consistency and transparence were measured and most of these eight lines were attained. The whole refined rice rate of Hual19was the highest, reached65.59%. Hual18had the lowest ratio of chalkiness at3.78%, reached the ministerial level and first grade standard.
