The invasion of alien species wasgenerally regarded as the secondserious threat to bio-diversity following the habitat destructionin theworld.Due to the openness and vulnerability of marine ecosystem, the harmis more outstanding.China’s marine climate types and ecosystem types arecomplex and diverse, to provide more opportunities for marine alienspecies, so that the pressure facing the ocean rising, the prevention andcontrol situation is more and more severe. The South China Sea is one of China’s four major sea area, is rich inmarine biological resources and diversity of the marine habitat, gave birthto the diversity of marine ecosystem, and the shipping position between thePacific and Indian oceans, marine transportation and trade frequently, makeit face the invasion of marinealien species and the harm situation moreserious. This paper carried out risk assessment studies of typical alienspecies in the South China Sea coastal, to provide reference for alienspecies management strategies and the protection of marine biodiversity inthe South China Sea coastal. The main conclusions of the study are asfollows: (1) This paperhas carried on the preliminary study of the situation ontypical alien species in the South China Sea coastal, and collated the listsof microorganisms (6), marine plants (20species) and marine animals (14species),40species of marine alien species, which include16majorinvasive species and24kinds of potential invasive species.(2) Based on the theory and results of domestic and foreign invasivespecies research, combined with the status of typical invasive species in theSouth China Sea coastal, to complete marine alien species invasion processand its various stages of the key features of the analysis, build the riskassessment system of typical alien species in the South China Sea coastal, the system consists of5level one indicators and17level two indicators,41level three indicators and operating indicators form.(3) The status survey result of Spartina alterniflora invadeShanjiao, Beijie, Yongan and Yingluo section in Shankou mangrove area ofGuangxiare are seriously district, moderate district, slight area and no area.(4) This paper evaluate the risk of Spartina alterniflora invade Shankoumangrove areas of Guangxi by the risk assessment system of typical alienspecies in the South China Sea coastal. The risk level of Shanjiao andBeijie are section are one level, Yongan and Yingluo are two level, theresult of risk assessment and field survey are basically consistent in eachsection, so this system is effective and available for risk assessment of alien species in the South China Seain coastal. Degree of Spartina alterniflorainvade Shankou and Beijie section are relatively serious, the need tostrengthen the monitoring and management efforts, and moderate to takecontrol measures to reduce the ecological disaster; Yongan and Yingluosection have a certain degree of impact and ecosystem are safe, but theyare the Spartina alterniflora invasion potential areas, need to continue totake the protection and prevention and control measures.(5) This paper evaluate the risk of12kinds of typical alien species inthe South China Sea coastal by the risk assessment system of typical alienspecies in the South China Sea coastal. The results of the assessment: Therisk level of Taura syndrome virus, Phaeocystis Pouchetii, Spartina anglicaand Mytilopsis sallei areone level; Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Chaetocerosconcavicornis, Stygla canopus and Sonneratia apatala are twolevel;Scophthatmus maximus,Spirulina platensis,Lepidium densiflorumand Strongylocentrotus intremedius are three level. Assessment resultsconsistent with they do in invasion characteristics and the impact of theactual situation basically in the South China Sea coastal, the evaluationsystem can be used for risk assessment of alien species in the South ChinaSea coastal.(6) Based on the current laws, regulations and management presentsituation research, puts forwardmanagement countermeasures and suggestionsthe on alien species in the South China Sea coastal, mainlyincluding: to establish complete system of marine invasive speciesmanagement laws and regulations, establish and improve the marineinvasive species of early warning, monitoring, inspection and assessmentsystem, establish and improve the prevention and control of marineinvasive species and repair system, and strengthen the popular scienceknowledge education and the management of the marine speciesintroduction, strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the internationaland domestic.
