In this paper, reported the super-cooling point of the insect Octodonta nipae, an alien invasion species, and analysised its potential distribution area in China using the computer model software.The super-cooling points of O. nipae in different instars varied significantly and there is a correlation between super-cooling point and instars of O. nipae. SCP of O. nipae always increased with the development of instars. In the same instar stage, the SCP is different in different developmental phases of O. nipae with the lower SCP in young insects than the older ones.When O. nipae were kept at different temperatures of 29℃,25℃,20℃, and 16℃, the super-cooling point of O. nipae in different instars did not show significant differences.O. nipae at different instars was treated with 10℃for 2 h,4 h,8 h,32 h, and 64 h. After the treatment, the SCP of O.nipae had decreased significnatly. In this case the SCP of the eggs,1st instar,and 2nd instar larva had decreased fall to minimum point after 64 h-cold.The eggs of O. nipae were then collected and put into the 10℃,5℃,0℃, and-5℃for 2 h,4 h,8 h,16 h,32 h,64 h,128 h, and 240 h. They were then transferred into the climate incubator with 25℃and the livability of the treated eggs was recorded. The result showed that the livability of the eggs of decreased with the increase of treatment period. When the eggs were kept at 10℃, they died completely before 128 h.The imago of O. nipae from Fu Qing (specify location) were collected four times during April 2009 and January 2010. They were taken to the lab for SCP measurement. By the comparison of the SCP of the imago in different seasons, it was revealed that he law of SCP of imago of Octodonta nipae. From the result of research, the SCP of imago of O. nipae in the summer is higher than that in the winter, and the difference is significant.We refer to a lot of information about Octodonta nipae, measure the SCP of Octodonta nipae and know the biological parameter (for example GDD and so on and forcast the distribution rang of O. nipae. Using the software named Climex2.0 and the model of climate made by Zhou, we forecast the potential distribution of O. nipae in china. Because of EI>20, it is highly possible for O. nipae to success to survive in the place including the south part of Yunnan province, Guangxi province, the eastsouth part of Sichuan province, Hainan province, Fujian province, Guangdong province, the westsouth part of Zhejiang province and Taiwan province. It is impossible for the south part of Yunnan province, Guangxi province, the east south part of Sichuan province, Hainan province, Fujian province, Guangdong province, the west south part of Zhejiang province and Taiwan province to survive in south part of China.
