Drought is one of the most important abiotic stresses limiting rice productivity and the growing areas. This study leads to select the drought tolerance(DT) and high-yield plants. We also want to identify the QTLs conferring drought tolerance in rice, trying to lay a foundation to the QTLs mapping, gene-cloning and heredity network.In the present study, backcross introgression lines (ILs), which were derived from Huang Huazhan (HHZ) as the recurrent parent, and two germplasm including OM1723or Phalgun, as donor parents. These materials were planted in IRRI using two conditions, normal and drought condition.8target traits were used for phenotypic analysis, correlation analysis and path analysis, including heading date (HD), plant height (PH), panicle length (PL), filled grain number per panicle (GN), total spikelet number per panicle (SPP), sterility fertility(SF), thousand grain weight (TGW) and grain yield per plant (GY). To identify the genomic regions contributing to yield and its components under drought stress and normal irrigation conditions, we detected quantitative traits loci (QTLs) by using Chi-square test and one-way ANOVA, respectively. The main results were as follows:1. HD, PH, PL, PN, these traits were better under the normal condition than the drought condition; PN,PL,GN, these traits didn’t have a significant difference between the recurrent parents and the ILs. SF of the ILs was lower than the RP under the normal condition. But SF of the ILs was a little higher than the RP under the drought condition.2. GY was mostly influenced by SPP. Among those factors, PN,SPP, GN, these traits were influenced mostly by the environment.3. We identified20and11QTLs in HHZ5/OM1723and HHZ8/Phalgun respectively. There were6six loci identified under both conditions. When the value of the add was plus, the loci increasing the yield come from the germplasm including OM1723or Phalgun, otherwise the loci come from the recurrent parents.
