In recent years, there has been a rapid development of the chicken husbandry industry in Linyi. The chicken colibacillosis is a serious threat on the chicken husbandry industry. This disease doesn’t have a clear epidemic character, and the bacteria strain serotype is also vague. There has not formed a scientific prevention system yet, therefore, it is necessary to start this research. A comprehensive pretation method of the chicken colibacillosis is studied in this paper. This paper explores the pathogenesis, pathogenetic regularity, serotype distribution, and drug resistance of Linyi area and identifies scientific treatment measures through artificial infection of colibacillosis. This paper contains three parts.1Epidemiological investigationAn investigation of epidemiology shows that in recent three years in Linyi, the average incidence rate of the chicken colibacillosis was27.85%, and the fatality rate was50.12%, which is still on the rise. The colibacillosis can occur thoughout the year in the Linyi area, the highest incidence often occur in January, April or May and July or August every year, accounting for about80%of the total number of the colibacillosis. The most important reason causing epidemics are terrible rearing environment and poor hygiene.2Serotype identification and drug sensitive testAmong the51Pathogenic colibacillosis strains,45strains have been identified and11serotypes have been tested, O78, O1, O18and O11are the main serotypes in the area of Linyi, accounting for76%of the total. O78and O1are predominant serotypes and accounting for56%of the total. Drug sensitivity test indicates that high-sensitive drugs in the area of Linyi are cephalosporins, amikacin, and florfenicol, among which cephalosporins is the highest sensitive. The sensitivity of amikacin and florfenicol is decreasing.3The preventation and cure study of the chiken colibacillosis in LinyiResearch indicates there are distinctive difference between drug sensitivity test in vitro and internal treatment effects. The different absorption rates after oral drugs are taken are likely to be the main cause for that difference. Drug sensitivity test can be treated as an important basis for the choice of drugs against colibacillosis. But drugs can not be blindly chosen only on the basis of the test. Comparative researches indicate that scientific combination of drugs is more effective than a single drug.
