Study On Assessment Of Changsha Golf Course Turf Quality And Maintaining Management

According to measurement for relevant test indexes including color,density coverage,mowing height,green speed,elastic, homogeneity and weed,about the lawn quality of Changsha Qingzhuhu Golf Course, comprehensive Evaluation of greens, fairways and tees turf quality. Using survey summarizes its truf maintenance management measuresthe following research results have been gained:The measurement result of truf color on green is poor, coverage, density and elastic are good, mowing height is too high, green speed and weed on the low side, green truf composite score of22points, grade level is â…£, showing that truf quality of green is poor. Fairway truf color in medium, homogeneity is high, coverage is good, mowing height is too high, elastic is good, truf weed on the low side, Fairway truf composite score of25points, grade level is III, showing that truf quality of Fairway is in medium.Tee truf color and homogeneity are bad, mowing height is in medium, truf elastic is good,less of truf weed, tee truf composite score of21points, grade level is â…£.Generally speaking,truf quality of this course is at a low level.Daily truf maintenance measures cover irrigation for green truf, clipping for greentruf, sanding and rolling for green truf, intertillage for green truf, fertilization for green truf, and pest prevention and cure. The major problems include:dead angle exists in automatic spray irrigation for green truf due to the influence of external factors; clipping technology for green truf is low and the clipping quality is poor; frequency of sanding and rolling for green truf is low and smoothness of the truf is bad;truf of green has many ball marks and the appearance is bad; green is fertilized too frequently and uniformity of thetruf is low.As for disease and insect attack of coursetruf, there are some differences in disease situations among different regions owing to special circumstances of topography and climate. Tan disease, rust disease, cutworm and caterpillar are quite common in putting green, while pythium disease and rust disease often occur on fairway. The course undergoes a severe damage and there are12weeds hard to remove, covering crab grass, eleusine indica and scirpus of grass weed; cyperus rotundus and Water Centipede Grass (including Light Water Centipede Grass) of sedge weed; horseweed herb, Erigeron annuus, Galinsoga parviflora, Ixeris chinensis, Malachium aquaticum, cleavers and Oxalis pes-caprae of broad-leaved weed.As for selection of pesticides and fertilizers on the course lawn, pesticides are mainly insecticide, bactericide and plant growth regulator produced by Syngenta, GUOGUANG and Bioway, and the herbicides include Caopingning, glyphosate, Haihejing and Cuiping. In terms of fertilizer selection, as for granular fertilizer, we use Chuangzhilu special fertilizer for lawn produced by Huizhou Chuangzhilu Group; as for leaf fertilizer, solid and liquid foliar fertilizers produced by Chuangzhilu and Leili Company are selected. In terms of fertilizer application, different dosages of different agents or fertilizers should be applied via different methods in different regions, times and lawn conditions. Pesticides and fertilizers should be adopted according to the principle of "adjusting measures to local conditions" via scientific and reasonable means. Meanwhile, various application principles and rules should be followed, so as to gain a good batting lawn surface for the golf course. In addition, pesticides and fertilizers should be controlled scientifically and reasonably, and the survival and development environment of golf should be maintained with a scientific attitude, highly-developed sense of responsibility and high professional integrity.
