The chopping tobacco curing method was a new curing pattern, which could shorten curi ng time, reducing energy investment and increasing the availability.There is a big space in the intensive curing barn. During curing of flue-cured tobacco the temperature and humidity has uneven distribution in some locations. Compare with the different qualities between the nor-midrib-curing of leaves and curing leaves, the effect s of different temperature and humidity on exterior and chemical quality of tobacco during curing, physical characteristics and chemical components of nor-midrib-curing of leaves during curing under different temperature and humidity combinations at color change stage were studied. The results were as follows:Comparison Nor-midrib-leaves with complete tobacco in the the same modulation environment,the appearance quality of Nor-midrib-leaves were founded poor color, thin leafsand less oil, and the ratio of tobacco disability increased significantly After baking, a large ratio of the leaf green miscellaneous tobacco were founded, and the economic value will be lower. Comparison with complete tobacco eaves, the reduce-ng sugar, nicotine content of Nor-midrib-leaves was significantly lower, which indicated that in water deficit stress the ratio of transformation of modulation material in Nor-midrib-leaves is not sufficient.From the overall quality of tobacco, Nor-midrib-leaves have a poor quality to the complete.In environment of low temperature and high humidity to variable yellow of the Nor-midrib-leaves quality is relatively good, while in the high temperature and low humidity yellowing environment to flue-curing Nor-midrib-leave of tobacco were founded a generally poor quality. The amount of moisture in tobacco leaves was reduced by the removing of tobacco stem leaf artificially, the Nor-midrib-leaves was under situation of water deficit certain stress during curing.The leaf water loss ratio is faster in high temperature and humidity environment. By increasing the level water deficit stress,the coordination of the tobacco material transformation and moistu re loss will be poor. After baking, not only we found the leaf color is impure, the leaves are thin and less oil, but the proportion of variegated tobacco is strong, and economic value is low, the main Chemical quality in tobacco is in disproportion. But in low temperature and high humidity environment, the tobacco water dispersion stall rate was improved, in a certain extent to ensure the tobacco material full transformation, improved Nor-midrib-leaves appearance quality and economic value, chemical quality content is relatively appropriate, proportion coor dination.
