Crop stalk lodging resistance is one of the important factors which affects thecrop yield, such as wheat, corn, rice et al.,. In the crop breeding for obtaining the high yield, it is anessential evaluation parameter for breeding high yield to improve the lodging resistance of cropstalks. So it plays a very important role in the crop genetic breeding to establish a universalmeasurement approach by measuring the crop lodging resistance.At present, the domestic and foreign experts and scholars conducted a lot of researches on themeasurement approach of crop lodging resistance. The main approaches for evaluating the croplodging resistance include lodging by artificial induced, the puncture strength of crop stalksmeasurement, determination of pull force strength, and the transverse cross section breaking downstrength and so on. Besides these, the measurement approach of crop stalk lodging resistance cansimulate the consequence produced by the natural wind. It can indicate the characteristics of croplodging resistance effectively. However, the universal measurement approach was locked inevaluating the crop stalk lodging resistance.An angle-insensitive measure technique of crop stalk lodging resistance was presented afteranalyzing the problems in the study of crop talk lodging resistance. Firstly, the technique wasdemonstrated in principle in this thesis. The function of the device to realize the measurement ofcrop stalk lodging resistance was analyzed. In the device, the S3C6410chip with ARM11architecture was chosen to build the development platform. The software and hardware werefurther developed. When the crop stalk lodging resistance was measured, the angle between the pullforce direction and the crop stalk direction can be obtained simultaneously. And the pull force wascorrected to a direction perpendicular to the crop stalks. So we can obtain a consistent measurementresults with pulling at different directions. Meanwhile, the business process of the lodgingresistance measurement was optimized.The measurement results showed that the consistent pull force was obtained when theangle-insensitive measurement technique was used to measure the crop stalk lodging resistancewith different angles. The universalization of pull force measurement was realized. This is a novelmeasurement technology for measuring the corp stalk lodging resistance.
