With continuous progress of the aquaculture technology and good trend of the marketprice, China’s abalone aquaculture industry has developed rapidly with larger and largeraquaculture scale and more and more diverse aquaculture methods in recent years. However,there is almost no deep research on abalone at present. Abalone raisers find it difficult to graspabalone growth environment and health status and they don’t know how to get appropriatetechnical guidance. Abalone aquaculture networking, informatization and intelligence levelneeds to be improved. Timeliness in water quality monitoring, blindness of feed selection andhysteresis in disease diagnosis is widespread and need to be solved urgently. In view of theabove problems, the author searched a lot of literature on water quality, feeding and abalonediseases and did several field surveys, and then developed an Abalone Precision AquacultureDecision Support System based on B/S architecture. There are about aspects we haveachieved:(1) Through investigation and study, we gained a lot of valuable technical information byconsulting abalone aquaculture expert, and made full preparations for the construction of thesystem knowledge base.(2) Study the temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and PH lower bound, upper boundand the optimum range in abalone aquaculture, and then accomplish automatic monitoringand alarming by using web service technology.(3) To cover shortcomings of traditional feed feeding and disease diagnosis, the authoranalyzed related literature, combined with the expert knowledge and experience, established amodel for feed formula and feed selection decision-making model, and designed thediagnostic reasoning process.(4) Summarized other related knowledge and technology, designed and developed a B/Sarchitecture abalone aquaculture decision support system.(5) For ease of use, the water quality monitoring, feed feeding record and diseasediagnosis modules of the Android platform is developed.The two systems can provide convenient service for abalone producers, and will havegood application prospect and popularization value.
