Experiments were carried out with fat type seeds with different initial moisture content. Seeds were stored at the conditions of different temperatures and relative humidity and we researched the change law of seed moisture、germination percentage and the fresh weight of seedings. It is aimed to offer the theoretical basic for the safety storage of seeds. The results were showed as follows:Cotton seeds with an initial moisture content of5.6%when stored at-20℃,4℃and RH was no lower than25%,20℃and RH was no lower than25%showed the change of moisture absorption. However, seeds with other treatments stored at the same condition showed the change of moisture desorption. Seeds with the initial moisture content of8%when stored at-20℃and RH was no lower than25%,4℃and RH was no lower than25%,20℃and RH was no lower than50%all showed the change of moisture absorption, however seeds with other treatments stored at the same condition showed the change of moisture desorption. Seeds with an initial moisture content of12%when stored at-20℃,4℃,20℃and as long as RH was no lower than75%all the seeds showed the change of moisture absorption, whereas other treatments showed the change of moisture desorption. The equilibrium time of cotton seeds shorten along with the rise of the storage temperature.Soybean seeds with an initial moisture content of5.9%, when stored at-20℃,4℃and RH was no lower than25%,20℃and RH was no lower than50%all showed the change of moisture absorption. Seeds with the initial moisture content of8%, when stored at-20℃and RH was no lower than25%,4℃and RH was no lower than50%,20℃and RH was no lower than75%all showed the change of moisture absorption. Seeds with an initial moisture content of12%when stored at all the temperature treatments showed the moisture absorption as long as RH was no lower75%. However seeds with other treatments stored at the same condition showed the change of moisture desorption. The equilibrium time of soybean seeds shorten along with the rise of the storage temperature. Soybean seeds with initial content of5.6%、8%and12%stored at0-50%RH and-20~20℃could be safe, however, when stored at75~100%RH and-20~20℃would be unsafe.Rape seeds with an initial moisture content of4.6%, when stored at-20℃, all the relative humidity treatments showed the change of moisture absorption; Seeds stored at4℃and RH was higher than50%,20℃and RH was no lower than25%showed the change of moisture absorption. Other treatments all showed the change of moisture desorption. Seeds with the initial moisture content of8%, when stored at-20℃and RH was no lower than50%,4℃,20℃and RH was no lower than75%showed the change of moisture absorption. However seeds with other treatments stored at the same condition showed the change of moisture desorption. Seeds with an initial moisture content of12%when stored at-20℃,4℃,20℃and RH was100%all the seeds showed the change of moisture absorption, whereas other treatments showed the change of moisture desorption. Rape seeds with initial content of5.6%stored at0~100%RH and-20~20℃for a year could be safe, and the germination rate and fresh weight have no obvious changes than before. Seeds with initial content of8%when stored at20℃and100%RH would be unsafe, stored at other temperature and relative humidity could be safe. Seeds with initial content of12%when stored at75~100%RH,20℃would be unsafe, stored at other temperature and relative humidity could be safe.
