This study was carried out to evaluate the fermentation quality of the mixed silage of corn with hullessbarley straw, perennial ryegrass and tall fescue at different rates and the mixed silage adding cornzyme, molasses and lactobacillus to find the optimal mixture rates and additives. The objective of this study was to provide a theoretical support and technical guidance of the mixed silage of crop straw and forage in Tibet. The main results are shown as follows:1A study on fermentation quality of mixed silages of hullessbarley straw and corn in Tibet.1.1Effect of different combination ratio of hullessbarley straw and perennial ryegrass on fermentation quality. This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of the mixing rates of hullessbarley straw on the fermentation quality of corn silages and screen the appropriate mixing ratio. The treatments were as follows:100%corn(Control),85%corn+15%hullessbarley straw(YQ15),75%corn+25%hullessbarley straw(YQ25) and65%corn+35%hullessbarley straw(YQ35). The results are shown as follows:the DM content was increased with increasing rate of hullessbarley straw in mixed ensilage, the LA content was significantly(P<0.05) increased in mixed ensilage; Only small amounts of BA and PA was detected, and showed low level of AN/TN value in all silages; After fermented45days, the pH was no difference(P>0.05)and the total VFA content of each mixed ensilage was significantly(P<0.05)lower than the control, the WSC content of adding35%hullessbarley straw was significantly(P<0.05)lower than the control. In conclusion from the present study, that mixing75%c orn and25%hullessbarley straw are recommended for fermentation quality and utilization efficacy.1.2Effect of adding cornzyme and lactobacillus on fermentation quality of mixed ensilage of hullessbarley straw and corn. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of adding coenzyme, lactobacillus and their combination on the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of hullessbarley straw and corn in Tibet. The treatments were as follows:control(YQC), cornzyme(YQE), lactobacillus(YQL), cornzyme+lactobacillus(YQEL). The results were as follows:the fermentation quality of silages added cornzyme or lactobacillus were significantly improved in a certain extent, compared with the control, silages treated with the additive have lower pH and AN/TN value, the content of LA and WSC were increased; AA content and total VFA content in the control was significantly(P<0.05)higher than L and E+L treated silages, but the combination of cornzyme and lactic acid bacteria treated silages can further improve the content of LA and reduce the pH, this result indicated that the effect of the combination addition of cornzyme and lactic acid bacteria is better for improving the fermentation quality of mixed silages.1.3Effect of adding molasses and lactobacillus on fermentation quality of mixed ensilage of hullessbarley straw and corn. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of adding molasses, lactobacillus and their combination on the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of hullessbarley straw and corn in Tibet. The treatments were as follows:control(YQC), molasses(YQM), lactobacillus(YQL), molasses+lactobacillus(YQML). The results were as follows:the additive treated silages have higher LA and WSC content. However, the total content of VFA, pH and the AN/TN value were decreased. Both molasses and lactic acid bacteria be added individually or in combination can improve the fermentation quality of mixed silages of hullessbarley straw and corn in some extent, but the fermentation quality of the combination of molasses and lactic acid bacteria was further improved.2A study on fermentation quality of mixed silages of corn straw and perennial ryegrass in Tibet.2.1Effect of different combination ratio of corn straw and perennial ryegrass on fermentation quality. This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of the mixing rates of perennial ryegrass on the fermentation quality of corn straw silages and screen the appropriate mixing ratio. The treatments were as follows:100%corn straw(Control),85%corn straw+15%perennial ryegrass(YH15),75%corn straw+25%perennial ryegrass(YH25) and65%corn straw+35%perennial ryegrass(YH35). The results were as follows:the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of corn straw and perennial ryegrass were improved in some extent. The mixed silages of perennial ryegrass and corn straw can not only to improve forage utilization, but also can increase the CP content of the silages. In order to further improve the fermentation quality and the nutritive value of silages, the lactic acid bacteria, enzymes and other fermentation accelerator can be used.2.2Effect of adding cornzyme and lactobacillus on fermentation quality of mixed ensilage of corn straw and perennial ryegrass. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of adding coenzyme, lactobacillus and their combination on the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of perennial ryegrass and corn straw in Tibet. The treatments were as follows:control(YHC), cornzyme(YHE), lactobacillus(YHL), cornzyme+lactobacillus(YHEL).The results were as follows:the BA content and AN/TN value of the silages treated with the additive were decreased; the LA and WSC content were increased; the fermentation quality of silage were improved, but adding cornzyme and lactobacillus can not significant improve fermentation quality. The above results indicated that adding lactobacillus alone can achieve the best results.2.3Effect of adding molasses and lactobacillus on fermentation quality of mixed ensilage of corn straw and perennial ryegrass. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of adding molasses, lactobacillus and their combination on the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of perennial ryegrass and corn straw in Tibet. The treatments were as follows:control(YHC), molasses (YHM), lactobacillus(YHL), molasses+lactobacillus(YHML). The results were as follows:molasses and lactic acid bacteria be added individually or in combination, the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of perennial ryegrass and corn straw were significantly improved in some extent. During the whole ensiling, the LA and WSC content were increased, but the BA content, pH and the AN/TN value were decreased. The fermentation quality of the silages treated with L or M+L is better than the molasses treated. But there were no significant difference(P>0.05) between treated with L and M+L. Therefore, considering from the above results, adding lactic acid bacteria alone can product the high quality silage.3A study on fermentation quality of mixed silages of corn straw and tall fescue in Tibet.3.1Effect of different combination ratio of corn straw and tall fescue on fermentation quality. This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of the mixing rates of tall fescue on the fermentation quality of corn straw silages and screen the appropriate mixing ratio. The treatments were as follows:100%corn straw(Control),85%corn straw+15%tall fescue(YW15),75%corn straw+25%tall fescue(YW25) and65%corn straw+35%tall fescue(YW35). The results were as follows:the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of corn straw and tall fescue were improved in some extent. With the increase in the proportion of tall fescue, the DM and WSC content were increased. However, the AA concentration were decreased, each group has a small amount of BA. In order to further improve the silage fermentation quality, the lactic acid bacteria, enzymes and other fermentation accelerator can be used to the silage.3.2Effect of adding cornzyme and Iactobacillus on fermentation quality of mixed ensilage of corn straw and tall fescue. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of adding coenzyme, lactobacillus and their combination on the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of tall fescue and corn straw in Tibet. The treatments were as follows:control(YWC), cornzyme(YWE), lactobacillus(YWL), cornzyme+lactobacillus(YWEL). The results were as follows:the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of tall fescue and corn straw were significantly improved in some extent, the silages treated with lactobacillus or cornzyme have higher LA and WSC content, lower BA content and AN/TN values. The fermentation quality and the nutrition value of silages were improved, but the effect of the combination of cornzyme and lactic acid bacteria is better than either alone more.3.3Effect of adding molasses and lactobacillus on fermentation quality of mixed ensilage of corn straw and tall fescue. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of adding molasses, lactobacillus and their combination on the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of tall fescue and corn straw in Tibet. The treatments were as follows:control(YWC), molasses(YWM), lactobacillus(YWL), molasses+lactobacillus(YWML). The results were as follows: molasses and lactic acid bacteria be added individually or in combination, the fermentation qualities of mixed silages of tall fescue and corn straw were significantly improved in some extent. During the whole ensiling, the LA and WSC content were increased. The BA content, pH and the AN/TN value were decreased. But the effect of adding molasses on the fermentation quality of mixed silage were not significant, and there were no significant difference(P>0.05)between the additives. The above results indicated that adding lactobacillus alone can product the high quality silage.
