As traditional knowledge modeling methods in knowledge sharing, knowledge reuse, knowledge reconstruction has serious shortage. In recent years, the ontology technology is introduced into artificial intelligence, library and information science, life science, agricultural science, knowledge engineering etc. Introducing the ontology can improve the problem of knowledge sharing to some extent. Using citrus pest knowledge as the research object, this paper constructs a citrus pest domain ontology model and realizes knowledge reasoning with the help of Jena, so as to promote the development of intelligent diagnosis of citrus pests.The main contents of research are as following:(1) Research on Ontology theory. Through study the advantage of ontology-based knowledge representation and modeling methods, the definition of ontology, the description language of ontology, ontology construction method, this paper explores a method of ontology-based knowledge modeling.(2) Research on the construction of Citrus pest domain ontology. Based on the analysis of knowledge characteristics of citrus pest and domain requirements, this paper presents ontology-based knowledge modeling citrus pest and with the help of Protege ontology building tools to construct the citrus pest domain ontology model.(3) Research on ontology reasoning based on Jena. By analyzing the characteristics of Citrus pest domain knowledge and ontology reasoning method based on Jena, this paper realized citrus pest reasoning process and improved accuracy of pest and disease diagnosis reasoning.(4)Design and development of diseases and pests in Citrus pest diagnosis prototype system based on ontology. With the help of MyEclipse tool, this paper constructs the Pests Diagnosis System of citrus pests based on ontology by using Jsp/Servlet, Hibernate and Jena API. And the system improves the level of intelligence of Citrus pest diagnosis to some extent.This study combines the "Twelfth Five-Year" National Science and Technology Key Project topics:low-cost rural information service experiential key technology and terminal development (No.:2012BAD35B02).To lay the foundation for the study of knowledge management and inference in the field of agriculture, this paper around citrus pests knowledge modeling and reasoning based on ontology, design and develop a diagnose prototype system, which includes citrus pests and diseases query, diagnosis and treatment.
