Through artificially-controlled salt-pouring experiments under six different concentration gradients with blank controls, we used chemical and instrumental analysis methods to test the characteristics and dynamics of the total amount of salt,ions’s quantity in different parts,the difference of ions’s quantity in different parts under different gradients and the salt absorotion rate of salt absorption,volume and biomass of the annual Populus euphratica Oliv。Our results showed that:1. Populus can absorb salt, mainly Na+and the corresponding Cl-and SO42-ions. We also found that the habitat of Populus shows Na+enrichment.2. the preliminary evidence demonstrated that young trees of the populus has not formed heartwood to accumulate salt in the body, but it showed signs of salt accumulation in root system.May the formation of Populus euphratica root system on heartwood is earlier then stem3. the quantity variation of Populus euphratica in salt showed that this kind of plant has a strong ability of salt tolerance,The ability to adapt environment exceeded the gradient range of the experimental design. Because this experiment is based on populus euphratica as the research object to test the salt absorption ability for the first time,salt gradient are obviously insufficient. But this experiment can ensure that Populus euphratica accumulates salt in the body,Also show the salt erosion phenomenon. As far as Populus euphratica which did not secrete salt is concerned,Salt erosion is a kind of relatively special physiological activities and it is necessary to in-depth study.4. Through the analysis of the above, Populus euphratica is proved that has the potential feasibility on making the salinization recoveredJust in the stage of earsh,the management efficiency of saline-alkali land is low and the absorption rate is only0.0016/day.As it is applied,the method of Populus euphratica afforestation governing saline land is a slow and long process. But other method is beyond comparison on the governance effect.Because we can carry salt over clearly by cutting Populus euphratica,It is obvious that this method is different from still preserving salt in soil.
