Starting with the background and significance of the study on stem cutting characteristics of Spaitina alterniflora, there exists one comprehensive description about controlling methods for Spartina alterniflora at home and abroad and some related factors which influence stem cutting characteristics and other existing problems.According to the main content of study and its technical route, this paper introduces the structure and working principle of the Spartina alterniflora cutting test-bed. By calculating parameters about related experimental equipments, the3D model of the cutting bed in CATIA can be created and the procession of main parts is analyzed. After analyzing the interference check in the constructed cutting bed, there is a conclusion that the design of this structure is reasonable.Introducing the movement simulation and analysis procession of the virtual prototype in CATIA, analyzing the relationships between the speed of test-bed and the diameter of walking wheel, the cutting speed and the speed of motor have been replaced by the relationships between the angular velocity of walking wheel and the speed of test-bed, the angular velocity of motor and the cutting speed of working blade, these can be simulated in CATIA. Then, the angular velocity of walking wheel, the speed and the angular velocity of motor at different walking and cutting speeds in wheel test bench can be mesured. Establishing the functional relation between the walking speed and the cutting speed, ensuring reasonable sampling rate and time, motion simulation, the trajectory of the working blade is simulated. Therefore, the static analysis of the work blade, the output shaft of belt wheel and cutter shaft leads to the simulation of the cutting force and working situation.Listing required equipments in this experiment, introducing selective types and parameters of related devices and describing the connection and controlling methods, spartina alternifloras in a mudflat coast from Ningde City, Fujian Province serve as experimental materials. Through the measurement, the diameter of these materials stretch from4to12mm and the rate of water content is30.36%. Putting the soil bin as a testing site in agricultural engineering laboratory, Fujian Agriculture And Forestry University and study the cutting characteristics of culm under these experimental conditions:the average temperature of indoor air dry bulb is13.5℃, the temperature of wet bulb is9.8℃, the relative humidity is62.11%and the soil is sandy loam. By using the rotary single disc cutting without support and flexible blade, related parameters of blade are introduce. Through the orthogonal test at three levels by three factors like three forward speed, blade cutting speed and blade cutting angle,some data of cutting power, cutting torque and cutting force can be gained. Then analyzing data, selecting the optimal scheme and verifying it. Finally, the results of the optimal scheme show that the cutting power, cutting torque and cutting force are the lowest when the forward speed is1km/h, the cutting speed is65m/s, the cutting angle is10°and these are accord with the analyzed result. So one reference for further design of Spartina alterniflora cutting machine can be provided.
