Part Ⅰ The Characteristics of3.0T MR Liver Acquisition with VolumeAcceleration of Prostate CancerObjective By analysing the characteristics of the3.0T MR Liver Acquisition withVolume Acceleration (LAVA) of prostate cancer (PCa), to investigate the effects of dynamiccontrast-enhanced MR imaging (DCE-MRI) in the evaluation of PCa and the seminal vesicleinvasion (SVI) by PCa.Methods The LAVA DCE-MRI imaging date of65cases of PCa and73cases ofbenign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with proven were analyzed retrospectively, analyzing thestyles of the signal intensity-time (SI-T), to calcuate the time to minimum (Tmax), the wholeenhancment degree (SImax) and the maximum slope (Rmax). The styles of SI-T curve inpositive and negative group, the means of positive and negative group were analyzedrespectively.Result The most common style of SI-T curve in positive group was rapidly ascendingfollowed with descending curve and rapidly ascending followed with plateau curve, innegative group was persistently and slowly ascending curve, but there was an overlapbetween themalignant and benign lesions in plateau curve. The mean value of Tmax, SImax,Rmaxin positive and negative group was (17.24±3.28)s,(1.59±0.26)%,(9.00±2.34)%and(39.16±8.98)s,(1.21±0.28)%,(3.23±1.08)%respectively. They were statistically significant(t=23.13,-10.81,-22.80, allP<0.01). The mean value of Tmax, SImax, Rmaxin the low-riskgroup (Gleason score<7) and the intermediate and high-risk group (Gleason score≥7) was(19.44±3.41)s,(1.43±0.18)%,(7.09±1.54)%and (16.36±2.79)s,(1.65±0.26)%,(9.77±2.17)% respectively. They were statistically significant (t=4.63,-4.14,-5.96, allP<0.01). SVI inLAVA DCE-MRI showed early enhanced, the common styles of SI-T curve was rapidlyascending followed with descending curve and rapidly ascending followed with plateau curve. The mean value of Tmax, SImax, Rmaxin SVI group and none SVI group was (17.45±2.75)s,(1.00±0.27)%,(6.79±1.01)%and (75.11±14.13)s,(0.45±0.11)%,(0.47±0.14)%respectively.They were statistically significant (t=28.13,-6.68,-21.55, allP<0.01).Conclusion The early rapid enhancement is common in3.0T MR LAVA of PCa,DCE-MRI is helpful to diagnose PCa and SVI. Part Ⅱ Study of the Correlation between3.0T MR Liver Acquisitionwith Volume Acceleration and Diffusion-WeightedMR Imaging in the Prostate CancerObjective To study the relationship between dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI(DCE-MRI) and diffusion-weighted MR imaging (DWI) of prostate cancer (PCa), to reflectthe internal relationship of perfusion level of microcirculation and hyperblastosis of PCa.Methods Of65patients with pathology proven PCa, The examination used3.0T MRLiver Acquisition with Volume Acceleration and DWI. All of the data was transferred to GEAdvanced Workstation ADW4.3, the indexes of the peripheral prostate zone divided intocancerous and noncancerous regions were calculated by Functool2of signal intensity-time(SI-T), to calcuate the time to minimum (Tmax), the whole enhancment degree (SImax) and themaximum slope (Rmax) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) value. The correlationbetween Tmax, SImax, Rmaxvalue and ADC value was analysed statistically.Result The mean value of Tmax, SImax, Rmaxin cancerous and noncancerous was(17.24±3.28)s,(1.59±0.26)%,(9.00±2.34)%and (39.44±10.95)s,(1.23±0.19)%, (3.46±1.10)%respectively (t=-17.88,7.12,12.89, allP<0.01). The mean ADC value incancerous and noncancerous was (0.90±0.18)×10–3mm2/s and (1.61±0.14)×10-3mm2/s,respectively (t=-20.20, P<0.01). There was a positive correlation between Tmaxof PCa andADC values (r=0.54, P<0.01), Negative correlation was found between SImax, Rmaxand ADCvalues respectively (r=-0.31,-0.45, bothP<0.01).Conclusion Some indexes of DCE-MRI are correlated with ADC values of PCa.DCE-MRI combined with DWI examination might improve the accuracy of detection, localization and staging of PCa.
